grand lakes golf course

playing there tomorrow morning... has anyone played the course in the last few weeks or months.. ive heard lots of good things about it but never played it.. let me know what everyone thinks.. thanks

Well, by now you have already played it. Sorry, did not check the site for several days. We had a big group there a few weeks back and the drought had been taking its toll on the course. We had played there several months back and it was in great shape. Then this last time...well it was not in very good shape. The greens were really good but the tee boxes and fairways were stressed big time. Since we played there last, they did get some rain. Hopefully when you played it the conditions were better than what we found.

Sorry as well. Saw the post a little too late. For the money it is a great course. Player design I believe. Usually never crowded and has some tough holes. I always find it to be quite windy when I play there.

it was in my eyes in good to above average shape for a course in houston and with no to little rain.... there are some tough holes and it can get windy... shot a 93 with a 10 on a hole on the back nine.. the front is a gray player design but not the back... i would say the only reason or the main reason it is in good shape is because there is little play.. course like windrose or any other public course in houston area are in bad shape with little rain and lots of play... also i would say that the tee box on most hole are really hard and sometimes you can not get a tee in them..... for the price it is a good course and love the BYOB.... just wonder how much longer it will be open to the public and at the 45 dollar price on the weekends...
