vacation to southern cali..

i will be going to san Diego next week and other cities in southern cali.. i dont think i will be able to play but i really want to go by some golf course just see see what they look like and take some pics.. i live in houston,texas and just want to compare the course condition etc... torrey pines is on the top of my list to visit but can anyone let me know of some other great/nice courses to visit... thanks

if you make it out to the orange county area, you should make it a point to check out pelican hill. if you are in the los angeles area, check out riviera country club and trump. there are just too many to choose from. but, you did mention that you wanted to take pics. have fun!

I'm in San Diego, so the Torrey Pines Muni South Course is what people talk about and the ones one9reasons mentions are great.
If you make it out to Ventura County, Rustic Canyon is a nicer public course

I'm in San Diego too and besides Torrey, I'd say Aviara and La Costa are two of the nicer courses in the area.

didnt get to play but did get to see some courses. when to Indian wells and torrey pines.. those 2 courses were really nice.. the best was torrey pines by far. wished i could of played...
