Feedback on Titleist 906F2's

What are members thoughts and comparisions of the new 906F2 fairway woods by Titleist compared to Sonartec 3.5, Mizuno F-50, Callaway X-Fairway, or the Titleist 980/904 offerings?

I haven't tried all the fw's on your list, but i will say that is better than the callaway, moreof a solid feel at impact and its very easy to hit off the deck. I would give it 3 thumbs up!!!

It is very easy to get off the deck and as easy off the tee. Long as well and classic solid feel. My previous FW wood is Vsteel or R7 steel. I had been wanting a Titleist FW wood for a while now and I am not dissapointed.

If i were u, I would pick Titleist 906F2. Excellent FW

It's significantly less draw-biased than the previous Titleist FWs, and it feels more solid than my old Sonartec NP-99 and way more solid than the Mizuno F-50. I love mine.

I've had all the Titleist FW over the past several years, and the 906F2(15*) is the best yet of the bunch! :D

In fact, I like it so much (compared to the 904 bricks I had) that I plan to also get the 906F2 18*. :cheesy:

The 906 sets up much better than the 904 I had previously. Unfortunately I ordered mine with the V2, which turned out to be a horrible choice. The shaft plays very stiff and I am still trying to figure out what I need to put in the club to make it better. I know this will be an awesome club though once the shaft is fitted properly because the feel is great and it looks exactly how I want a FW to look.

I agree with all the others, the 906f is a great fairway wood, i have not heard anyone say anything bad about the club yet.

Today had mine on the course for the first time and agree with the others. I am really happy with it. The 906F is long and straight with the V2 and the face has much better feel than my very old 975F. With the V2 it has a nice boring tragectory but not too low. More or less produces the same right-to-left-ball flight as with my irons. I am confident hitting it off the deck and never was with my 975F.

Not sure if others noticed but immediately the 906F seemed better balanced than most woods and made it easier for me to get in good swing positions on my first few swings.

Makes a nice cracking sound and looks good as well.

I haven't hit many different models of FWs so there are likely longer ones (e.g. hibore) but the 906F is a pretty lively and forgiving players club so if that is what you want you can't really go that far wrong.

I have hit the F-50 (and I love Mizuno irons) and IMO the 906 is a much better FW.

The only black mark is the stock Tour Velvet Rubber grip. This thing is so tacky it feels like it is slowing my release. I will regrip with a GP Decade.
