The profile, bounce and groove contour of the SV Tour Wedges were derived from extensive feedback from our Nike Golf Tour staff members. The SV Tour wedges have classic profiles and grinds which provide a clean look with maximum versatility. A CNC milled flat face provides consistent golf ball response off the club face for more accurate golf shots. These features provide the control, confidence and accuracy necessary for a solid short game.

I really think Nike si trying to make a harder push this coming year. These new SV wedges seem to be the equal of the RAC TP or Spin Milled. I am interested to see how they preform.

I'm not sure what the headshape is on the original SVs but I loved the 588ish Raw Forged... if they are shaped like that then

 

I wonder if they will only be available in that "tour chrome?" finish. I would prefer dark/raw :diablo:

Headshape is the same as the original SV wedge, which is very similar to the 588s

i still think the cleanest looking wedges were their original nike forged wedges. i used to play those and they were great clubs--very nice and clean looking, too...not too many graphics.

Golfsmith already has them in stock, I got a new 56 and 60 last friday. Search my post and you will see pics of them in my bag =). The biggest differnce outside of the larger grooves are the blended edges (tour grind design) also a little thinner sole. I have yet to hit them as I have been busy trying help open the new golfsmith in Houston near Galleria. But sometime in the coming week. Look out for the review.

I saw some fo these at Golf Galaxy last weekend. I really prefer the new look as to the old one. The grooves looked better this year as well on these models. These will definitely be worth a try.

A VERY solid wedge for $90. It's going to be another strong year for Nike in regards to equipment.

i also saw these at golf galaxy the other day. i like the satin finish. still wish they had them in raw, but its a big improvement over the old finish. i looked at the 52*, 58*, and 60*. the soles look very versatile. at $80 its going to be hard not to go out and add these to the wedge collection.

Yes, and they're SOLID...meaning very soft in feel, excellent trajectory, pleasant looking at address and versatile. Ranks right up with the other retail wedges available today.

Honestly, I think it comes down to personal preference more than anything. The X-Tours are great and the PM grind works extremely well for me, but I like the Nike at address. The MD grooves, IMHO, still put the most spin on the ball, but I would say the normal Cally grooves are comparable to the SV's (along with the SM's, Yo-Yo's, Y-Cutters, Mizzy's etc.)

 

For the $$$, it's worth picking one up and giving it a try.

 

P.S. - You may want to look at the new Mizuno MP-R's as well. :(
