What is the best forged irons in golf?

S20C material is my favorite..... whatever you want to make the blade looks like, i like the material feels at impact...

maybe american version 1020 carbon steel like bridgstone J40 but never hit that club...

That Z-925 blade is nice. Might have to look into that instead of the Pro 100. I wonder if Srixon has always been Endo forged?

i don't know, if they use endo once ,, i think it's their standard... their facility in japan is in one place with cleveland miyazaki and XXiO

Hit as many brands/styles as you can at your local golf shop and decide. Me personally callaway x forged, but another guy may like Mizuno, Titleist, miura etc. it's really not the perfect club, it's the perfect match of player with the right club

Just got a set of vega 01 satin finish irons coming from set of hakusa cavity these are super soft
Vegas have shimada tour shafts in comparison to hakusa with c taper
Same forging house for both irons
I believe shimada tour shaft gives great feel with same flight as ctaper
Superb clubs

Played all of them and hands down you have to go Japanese for forging and the Vega irons are the best from all I have played. Miura very soft and buttery, Epon crisp but firmer feel, but the Vega irons meet in the middle with the feel and ball flight. Try them and you will love the feel.

IDK, I think most people who have hit multiple sets of each would say that Epons are definitely softer than Miuras. I've owned Epon 302, 502, Yamaha Tour (also Endo) and others forged at Endo and every one was softer than the 4 sets of Miuras I've owned, BB's, TB's, MiuraGiken CB-1007's and CB-202's. Miuras are more dense and solid, but definitely firmer than Epons IMO and most others I've heard about.

Mizuno. Ive played almost all of the major brands (Bridgestone, Mizuno, Miura, Nike, Titleist, Taylormade) and none of them feel like a Mizuno does.

What about the Legacy Black Forged Iron (2012) with the M 10 DB (Uniflex Shafts)? Ordered them sight unseen on the recommendation of longstanding member FreeHB. $770 with shipping. Seems like a good deal. Thoughts?

Don't worry about it. If you don't ding it up too badly, you could recoup most of your cash, I imagine, if you don't like it.
