That time of the year is upon us. Sometimes, I think the best idea is to take a lesson and hit the range for the next two months and just forget about playing. Or just go to Prescott, Sedona or elsewhere in the northern climes where they don't overseed.

But if you want to play in town, the best philosophy is to find the courses that start late and get in those last few rounds on the nicely dried out, firm/fast and scalped down fairways that are being prepped for the change over.

Later in the month, the challenge becomes finding the courses that started early and have the longest grow-in time.

Looking at the schedule, it seems about 85% of the Phoenix area courses start during the two week period between Sept 26 and Oct 10. This thread is for identifying those courses that offer the earliest or latest overseeed start dates.
