I'll have time for a few rounds, so if you could, maybe throw out a top 3? One spendy course, and two moderately priced. Tethrow? Should I expect rain?

It would be in June. I looked at tethrow's rates.....yikes! it would officially be the most I've ever paid for a round of golf by like $100 dollars haha, and thats not including caddy tip!

Unfortunetly Thethrow's greens fee in June weren't as affordable.

On a side note; Damn! I really like that course, (Thetherow). Juniper is also a really good track, not in the same league as Thetherow, but still very good. They are starting the cutting for the winter temp greens, on every hole. I don't understand that. I can see temp greens where there are a lot of shadows in the winter, but all of the greens?

78...I just about freaked out on the temp greens issue since I'm playing there next week. I called the shop and they won't be on the temps until December. They are just cutting them this month. Whew.

fore_life...you can't go wrong w/Juniper or Aspen. I love them both. Juniper slightly more. For spendy you might want to consider Brasada Ranch, Pronghorn, or Crosswater instead of Tetherow. I'm playing Pronghorn Nicklaus course next week. Can't wait. First time.

Ive read mixed reviews on tethrow. Personally, being from the desert, I love nice tree lined parkland styled courses that allow you to move it both ways off the tee. Tethrow seems really target golf-ish(from some reviews) and I'm not sure thats what I want for a vacation round, you know what I mean? It'd be different if it was a guys golf trip. I'll check out Juniper and Aspen.

Other options I'd look at would be Eagle Crest and Black Butte. They are reasonably priced and relaxing resort style courses.

I agree with the other posters though. Juniper, and Aspen Lakes are good bets if the price tag on Tetherow and Pronghorn aren't reasonable. I'm not a huge fan of Lost Tracks or Widgi Creek but they also have their fair share of fans.

Great golf in bend... crisp mornings but beautiful days in June is the norm.

I don't mean to seem like I don't want to play a tough course. I guess I'd prefer a tough one over a short resort course. I play off a 0.8 at the moment and am a fairly long hitter, so the shorter resort style courses get pretty boring.

So stoked for my trip, leaving tomorrow morning. Playing juniper with spinmill on Friday then aspen lakes at 740 in Sunday.

Bumping this to remind myself to post up the pics from Juniper and Aspen Lakes. I had an awesome time, loved the area, as did my wife.

We're renting a house next summer, fantastic golf, even better beer!
