OT: I have 11 new clubs on order..... ....and that's only b/c i can't place an order for the darn ft-i yet! Also, going to bend my putter soon (under Glynn's supervision of course!)

I played Meadowbrook Tuesday and did not make a par until #6 (started 5-5-6-6-6 ) and didn't hit a GIR until #11. While I can count on one hand how many times he's done it, my brother wiped the floor with me. Lets just hope it carries over to Monday because he's giving the PAT another shot at Southshore Harbor. :)

 

Drew - I'll bring the catalog we discussed to Wildcat. I'm going to invite Lance to play with us, so maybe we can discuss things then. :)

Gentleman quite frankly I am baffled by some of the posts I have read in this thread. This is a free site yet you are using the site for your own personal gain and have not asked permission to advertise your "shindig." This is baffling that you would have an outting or "shindig" without prior approval. Why do they call it a "shindig" anyway?

Don't get a cortisone shot!

 

That's a very quick fix that won't solve the problem long term. What you need to do is see an orthopedist who can figure out why your tendons are inflamed and can prescribe, stretches and / or exercises which will help solve the problem. Your problems will keep coming back sooner and sooner unless you do!

 

The quick fix is not the answer!

Glynn - you need to have your doctor write you a Rx for some Ketoprofen & Lidocaine PLO, which is a transdermal gel-type substance that gets the medication through your skin really quickly and directly to the site of the injury. I've used it and it works great :) . Lidocaine for a rapid numbing effect and the ketoprofen gives a more prolonged anti-inflammatory action. If you want, I can give you some contact info for a pharmacy that will be able to make it for you, just give me a call. :)

 

Do we have a $$ format in mind? I just need to know how much to bring to cover my losses since I've been tearing up the course with my string of scores in the mid-upper 80's (had another at Southwyck yesterday, where I had 5 5's on the front and only 1 was a par ).

 

Based on this stellar streak of golf, I think I'm going to have to bring a duffle bag full of balls. I swear, I can play well and still lose a sleeve or more at Wildcat, so I can only imagine the ammo I'll burn through if I hack it around Saturday like the last few rounds I've "enjoyed."

I hate to do this but I will have to withdraw.

 

It has not come around as well as I would have liked it. The cool weather may be hindering it or the fact that I am getting up in age.

 

I am definitely in next time and I hope that the conditions are great for you.

This flares up about twice a year, mostly because I try stupid shots in golf. I have had many injections in my knees, wrist, elbow etc.. over the years.
