West Palm Beach/Jupiter Public Courses to play in Dec

Plan on being down in the WPB/Jupiter area for a few days in late December (staying at the Hilton on Singer Island). Will be looking to play 2 days at 2 different courses. I've looked through several older threads on this topic and have these on the list:

Abacoa

Madison Green

WPB Municipal

Lost Lake

Binks Forest

Delray Beach Golf Club

Winston Trails

North Palm Beach Country Club

Never been there so any help related to the area and course recommendations will be appreciated. Thanks!

I lived in SoFLA for nearly 10 years. Played Abacoa quite a bit and it is a good track that is typically in very good shape. NPB CC, Winston Trails, Binks Forest, and Lost Lake are all good tracks and worth a hit.

Delray Beach, WPB Muni, and Madison Green were not my favorite places down there, especially if you only have time for a couple of rounds.

Hope that helps a little. I am sure there are some guys on here that live down there and give you the heads up on current conditions of those places.

Abacoa and binks. Both good tracks with quality greens (abacoa's could be better but it gets alot of play) The 10th hole on binks could double as a bowling alley on weekends its so tight. But I'd say def avoid madison green, short and very quirky and you need to know exactly where to hit the ball to avoid trouble.

Delray Beach is average but it is a Donald Ross design. But you should head north to Port St Lucie 30 min from Jupiter 50 from Wpb and play at the PGA http://www.pgavillage.com/stlucie/index.cfm?page=golf
Easy to get to just off i95

All 3 courses are really nice tracks.

bumping this thread up for any updates as i'll be heading down to jupiter in january. played abacoa back in 2004 and remember it being a good bang for the buck, but i've been reading the course conditions have been going dowhill over the last few years.

gonna try to get 2 rounds in. if possible, would like to try to keep the rounds under $100, but will go a touch over for one of those rounds. any suggestions will be appreciated.
