Drinking a Founders Breakfast Stout right now and I honestly like it over KBS. In fact I turned down a KBS 4 pack when I was in CA.

My golf league starts today, and it's 45 degrees out and occasionally spitting rain, so I went looking for an imperial stout in cans that will keep me warm on the course. I scored my usual Oskar Blues Ten Fidy, and I also found this:

 

 

 

Has anyone had it before? It's 13%, so I'm sure it will keep me warm, lol.

I picked up some pretty good selections yesterday on the IPA front. The slap fight is my favorite and is only 5.8%. Don't think I'm drinking and driving, because I'm not... I had 2 tailgating in the parking lot before the boys baseball game last night :D

I don't advise this radler unless it's 100 degrees and you're on the beach or you may mistake it for Spumante and walk away with a cavity! More juice than gin... Or IPA!

Flying Dog Ella is spectacular. Prob a warmer weather beer than the next few days provides, but get it before its gone. Single hop, but very complex.

So we're going to be hosting our wedding reception at a private residence and there will be a handful of craft drinkers there. In order to save costs I'm going to clear out a lot of my special occasion beers. I've also got family coming in who lives five minutes from russian river so will have some fresh Pliny and blind pig.

 

I'd really like to find someone with easy access to 3 Floyds and/or alchemist. I would love to get a few bottles of heady and/or zombie dust for the reception. I have 5 months to go so time not a factor right now but if anyone wants to help a brother out and work a trade for some west coast stuff please let me know.

This new brewery just opened up in Auburn, CA and dear lord, it's fantastic. The tap room has literally only been open for about 10 days. Never been much of an IPA guy as I prefer reds or stouts, but even their IPA's were amazing. They also had a New England IPA, which I had never heard of before but I frickin loved it. The place is called Moonraker, and I highly recommend anyone in the Sacramento/ Nor Cal area give it a try. Also, its located just a hop, skip and a jump from The Ridge, so you can stop by after you play a round.

First taste of New Holland dragon's milk bba stout. Picked up in CA for 9.99

 

I'm bummed we don't get this in AZ not the best bba stout I've had but for 10 it's by far the best bang for the buck out there and a very solid beer.

Dragon's Milk? I think Dragonstooth is made by someone else. If so, I agree, not the smoothest bourbon stout, still has a pretty strong alcohol flavor, but good enough and it's usually $7.99-$8.99 here.
