I missed this the first time around hut picked some up for batch two....and wow. Fans of Mosaic will love this. Not a typical TH juicebomb but an earthy dank version that I'd liken to liquid weed. I try to never use the word dank...but this is dank. Smells like my brother that lives in Colorado.

Do you get to TH often from PA? It's an hour and a half from me and i've only been once unfortunately. Julius is my favorite and I've tried a lot of their stuff but not Bright yet. Can't wait to get up there again.

Scored a couple 4pks of this gem last week and cracked the first. Absolutely nothing played out with this type of brew. The most balanced juicy IPA I've had this year. Best in the world...eh who am I to judge.

 

That Lambo Door sounds intriguing! Really wish I could get my hands on some.

Any Westside michiganders have any info on what beer week in Grand Rapids is like? I know the winter beer fest at fifth third park but any other events worth going too? I will be there Friday thru Sunday

Do you get to TH often from PA? It's an hour and a half from me and i've only been once unfortunately. Julius is my favorite and I've tried a lot of their stuff but not Bright yet. Can't wait to get up there again.

We make it up every 5-6 weeks or so. Firstly it is my wifes favorite brewery, also we have no kids, and friends outside Boston. A quick stop off 84, late Friday is usually a nice time to go, and we're back on the road in 1hr.

I also get some Tired Hands releases that are hard to come by and have a frequent trade partner up in MA and another in ME for Bissell and Foundation. Nearly as costly as club ho'ing.

 

That Lambo Door sounds intriguing! Really wish I could get my hands on some.

April Trip booked

 

04/01- Friday OC Area Visit Bruery in the evening

04/02 Saturday Early Lunch at Firestone Walker Barrel Works in Buellton then drive up to Paso Robles check in to hotel and Dinner at the main Firestone.

Goal is to come home with a whole bunch of Sucaba and Parabola, maybe some barrel works sours for the fiance.

 

I wasnt planning on making it all the way up to Paso but looking at the maps being able to cut directly over to I-5 from Paso cuts the drive time home to the same as it would be coming back from Buellton, and I dont have to drive through the heart of LA on the way back.

 

Any socal guys want to meet up at the Bruery Friday just let me know.

Some pickups today a couple cellar fillers so I can rotate out last years versions of Old Foghorn and Narwhal. I missed out on Oilman last year reasonably priced for a BA stout so been wanting to give it a go

 

Boulevard is new to AZ so figured I would give their IPA a go

the new hyped AZ IPA Tower Station, still trying to find the elusive great AZ beer.

Pretty much anything from the boulevard smoke stack series is pretty good. I especially like the tank 7 farmhouse ale and the dark truth stout.

This is one of the best limited releases DFH puts out. I got lucky a few months ago and found a local store with a stash of 2013 bottles. Picked up a handful of them...a few for now since they are already aged and a few to hold a little longer. Love this brew!!!

Had an Odell Russian Pirate with lunch yesterday. Rum barrel aged stout 13.5% really good draft only. If you see it on tap I highly recommend it.

 

 

Tried the New Belgium blackberry barleywine too that was meh

Has anyone tried Molotov Heavy by evil twin? Looks like it's near 18% abv, meaning it's probably hit or miss taste-wise.

Alright, gotta say I'm not sure if it was just a little chilly, the dinner I had, or that fact that I want dirty, hoppy, bitter beers, but the Pineapple was basically too clean. Yes, it's balanced. And I'm sure it's "bingo" on a hot summer day. But it just didn't do it for me. I want that bite of the grapefruit. I want pine sap like Unearthy. Or a hop bomb like some of Stone's. Even the in your face of the 120minute. If you want a clean and crisp, pilsner-like IPA, then the Pineapple is a winner.
