Graman UL 540/780

Recommended Posts

By precisely matching swing balance and flex characteristics for each club, the Ultimate signature series shafts are ideal for professional and low handicap amateurs looking for maximum stability and consistency. Designed for discriminating golfers who want to achieve maximum club-head speed for greater distance, accuracy and control, each shaft is created using advanced technology combined with the finest raw materials and the highest strain graphite available in the world. Constructed with ultra high modules, all of these shafts come with certified CPM numbers on the butt allowing for logo alignment to produce a perfectly matched set. These UL series shafts are manufactured with extremely precise symmetry, and then additional innovative steps are taken to find the Optimum Flex Line; for the series of shafts for easy custom fitting.

* CPM certified with less than 1 CPM tolerance

* Logo aligned to match with shaft's Optimum Flex Line™

* 48" length for longer clubs and custom fitting

* As low as 1.6 degree torque, [uL-780 series]

These are also called "limey" shafts as they are a very bright lime green color. Top long drive guys are hitting regular flex with swing speeds of 130 mph!! PGA pros have swung the reg flex also with good results. The lightweight costs only $37 and are said to compare to Ozik $$$$$ shafts. I'm having a driver built on a Geek DCT 9º head, UL640 regular flex (normally play stiff at 107 mph) to try this out. I'll let you know if it can keep up to my Rapture which is the best I've ever hit. CHANGE OF PLANS. The head will be a 9º Integra Quadratics. :drinks:

Don't know about the regular flex thing, as I'm playing my UL680s at an X tipped 1" inserted into bore through and they play identical to my old fwy's but yes, they are undoubtedly very good shafts, and an unbelievable price.

Ive got a UL780 coming to go in my SuperQuad in a few days. Will post a review once I get to hit it.

Are the new UL540 Chrome Limey's the same thing as the original Green Limeys? I heard these shafts are incredible, and I am a high launch high spin player with a SS around 105-110. I play a 9.5 Hibore XL now, anyone think this will help?

The same yes. I have to be honest, i found the UL540 surprisingly high launch and spin.

Put the chromes in a Sonartec NP99 13* at 43 1/2, and a 4 wood. Hit the strong three consistently around 275 with a 100mph swing speed. Haven't pulled a driver in weeks.
