2012 Nike Free Golf Shoe

My pre-order from Golfsmith on the 25th of May that had a June 8th shipping date still hadn't shipped, so I called the customer service line. They oversold their pre-order, and I wouldn't be getting my shoes until the middle of July. Cancelled my order, will try to find them elsewhere.

Just walked 18 in mine. I wore shorts and very short no-show socks and didn't have any issues at all with the tongue or heel. Just to throw another sizing observation out there, I have a pair of Nike Free Run 2s in size 12. My TW 13s are also size 12. The TW 13s are a bit longer than the Free Run 2s. I would say they run true to size in terms of length. The TW13s do feel a bit more snug to me than the Free Run 2s. I would say my foot is between average to wide. After trying on the shoes, I was a bit concerned that they would be too narrow, but they felt fine during the round and they are going to be just fine. I love the Nike Free line and am glad I got these.

I tried them on today and they seemed nice but I thought they ran a half size short in length. I normally wear 10.5 (including some Nike) and these I went up to an 11. To me there were three issues. First I thought the material felt cheap especially the top of the shoe around the toes. Felt like a tarp more than synthetic leather. Second, the tongue seemed to sit up really high which I can see becoming an irritant. Third, it seemed to me like the outside part of the shoes stuck out more than normal shoes. I tried them with shorts and thought they didn't look good. I'd definitely wear them with pants since I think they would look better especially the black. The jury is still out for me and I might pick up a pair of the black ones to see if they grow on me.

here's my story.

I wear 8.5 wide (41 or 42 in eccos) and wasn't too sure about not having wide version of this shoes.

Called local golf store and they had size 9 sold and only had 9.5 left in white.

Rushed there after the work and tried them on. Boom, perfect fit. If I had size 9, they would be too small for me.

paid $149.99 and walked out of the door (owner of the shop told me not to advertise the pricing and selling like hot cake).


I played 3 rounds of golf in this shoes and here's my input

- Yes, tong is too long and bit wide. ( I think this was expressed before)
- Did someone said snug? That is correct.
- Shoes are fine looking in person
- Easy to clean
- Very stable during the swing. I have Ecco Biom Hybrid and Trues but they were somewhat having grounding problem (I sway a lot) and this shoes are anchored.
- Shoes looks high on the ground but in realty, it really sits flat to the ground and very comfortable.
- Despite the shoes doesn't look like have any vents... I really did not have sweaty feet (played in high 80's weather starting 7am till 5pm)

Overall I think this is good priced shoes.

so i bought mine on friday and played them last night at la quinta cc, loved em! i wear an 11.5 in nike lunar 3 but in the tiger's i wear a 12, i must say much more comfy than the fj icons and they look great in black and shorts

funny thing. the whites are perfect and my black ones are making this popping sound from the upper material some people are talking about. Did anyone else have this issue and knows how to get rid of it? Did it go away by itself or not?

Yes, the squeak is driving me nuts and I do have the black but I'm not sure it's a color thing...BB

My shop sent my black TW13 back to Nike due to that super annoying popping noise from the upper material to have them checked is that is considered normal. 4 days later now and i received a new pair this time without a popping noise. great costumer service by nike... didn't expect that, especially this fast
