I contacted Nike directly and they acted like I was crazy and had no info on doing any pre orders. I was thinking about ordering a second pair from Edwin Watts if they do in fact have them in stock.
Nike does not do preorders on Nikestore.com anymore.

they will tweet the link on their [s]@[/s]nikestore twitter at 8am EST. on the day of launch.

I just contacted them to see when the pre orders from golf galaxy would ship. Golf Galaxy had no idea either so I called them directly.
I got a notice that my order from GG shipped yesterday (direct from Nike, no tracking #). Here's hoping they arrive today.

First round today. Very comfortable, zero issues with footing. Surprisingly stable. My back is KILLING me though. I'm sure it has something with the shoes and I'll adjust. It is just a very different shoe. Glad I have them and looking forward to Saturday.

I bought mine from golf town yesterday...I got burned before with pre-ordering to get something early. People had it from the store before I had my pre-order.

when everyone says this runs 1/2 size smaller, is it more for the length or the width?

I normally weare 8.5 in wide, do you guys think I can get by with 9 medium?

Thanks!

You are correct with your assessment. People with narrow feet should stay in their regular size. If you have a wide foot, go up 1/2 size.

Anybody know when they are shipping from edwinwatts? I ordered an 8.5 and am curious if that will ship later than others due to the size.
I got my shipment yesterday. I ordered size 12. Mine was shipped out on Tuesday, got here on Thursday.

I just wore it yesterday after cutting my work short, walked 16 holes. It was the most comfortable golf shoe I've ever worn in my life!

I tried a pair on at Golfsmith, my initial thoughts:

1. The black ones look much better in pictures than they do in person and the white vice versa. The black ones in person really do seem like snow shoes or rain boots, they look almost like plastic. The white outer is the same material, but because it is white it makes it appear more like traditional leather. I really hated the white ones when I saw them on tv and in pics, but in the store they actually looked decent. I was pretty set to get a black pair but after actually seeing them and trying them on in person, not so sure.

2. They do seem very comfortable, however this is only from a brief try on and walk around the store. I think they fit true to size on length, however I felt the width seemed a little more narrow. I always have worn a 11.5 medium width in Nikes with no problem, these seemed a little more snug on width but length was spot on for me.

3. The shoe felt a little clunky to be a Free style shoe. The cut seemed almost a mid top basketball shoe around the ankle and the sole thickness made it seem like they were heavy. I am sure that is necessary to balance stability with the Free concepts, but I thought they would be a little more like a True Linkswear feel.

4. I would say if the Lunar Ascend and Lunar Controls had a child, they would be these. A little more minamilist than the Lunar Control, but felt more stable than Lunar Ascend.

Overall impression on the try on was a little underwhelming, those who have taken to the course and played can provide much better insight and feedback on how the actually perform than I can, which is really what is most important. But initially from seeing them and trying on I wasn't that blown away. That is probably why Nike was so hyping the pre-order, they wanted people to buy before they actually had a chance to look at them in person.

I agree 100% with the above, specifically the 3rd point. I am a big fan of the barefoot concept. I have golf, running and work shoes that have this style.

As for the TW 13 shoes, I think those that like wearing the Jordan low shoes will like these. The tong sticks up very high and so does the part around the front part of tthe ankle. They are comfortable and I walked around the golf store for about 10 minutes. The only thing that really bothered me was the high tong rubbing against what seemed like my lower shin.

As for looks, I understand why Tiger wears pants with these. The high tong and part around the front of the ankle looks a little goofy with shorts. If you like foot joy, you probably will not like the look of these.

With that being said I bought a pair and will try them despite them being TW shoes and Nike. I hope the performance reports are true.

I'll be waiting until they come out with the Wide size. My current Nike Bandons are 12W and fit fine....if I go 13M it will work but I'll be tripping while walking with clown shoes :(

I thought they fit pretty wide. Trying them on is the only way to tell for sure.

Does anyone know if 14 will be the largest size they will make? 14 has been the largest on all of the TW shoes in the past. I wear a 15 in my Nike Free Runs and my Adidas golf shoes. I am hoping that I will get lucky and that a 14 will work in these, but hearing everyone say that they run a half size small isn't helping me be too optimistic.

I agree with many of you. I went to Golf Galaxy to try them because I love my free running shoes. The material on the top felt cheap and looked like it would rip with too much force. The major problem I had like many of you was the 3/4 top feel to them and the tounge of the shoe comes way up on the front of the ankle. I wear low cut socks and I would have to toss most of them to make these shoes work. For something that was this long in the making its a major fail for nike in my opinion. Here's hopeing they release TW 13 2.0. Bummer I really wanted to like them

That is why I'd like some pics with shorts. Its too hard to tell how high these are when the only on foot pics we have are Tiger with pants on.

I finally saw a pair of these in person and while they may be comfortable, they look horribly cheap to me. Everything from the material to the sole looks like a $39.99 shoe, not a $180 shoe. Sorry, I expected a better, not so cheap looking shoe and won't be getting these now which sucks because I really was expecting to get them.
