Got the Anser today, awesome Ping

Im rocking the Anser 9.5 with Ahina. A lovely thing. I don't know why but I cut the heck out of those TFC800 shafts. They go right like crazy. But I have a stout Ahina in my driver and I can draw it on command. Unsure what the reasoning is...

Now I have the problem with the TFC800 in the Anser fairway wood. Fade everything. And my track plays right to left so on all the shots I have to hit a 3wood with, the ball must draw…or more specifically, can't fade. So I'm going to pop in something else like an AxivCore Red.

Might try the Axivcore black, for me it was one of the easiest shafts to draw in a driver and produced some really great shots for me.

Good shaft too, but felt boardier to me. But it was in an i15 fairway.

Got a new shaft to go in the Anser from Ping this morning. 7.2 TS.

Little disapointed it came in 1/4 inch longer than I requested but I played with the ahina and TS in the launch monitor and then out at the course.

I have found with the ahina, as well as my kaili in the I20, that I get a small tail to the left at the end of the ball flight. It hasn't been enough to make me lose shots left but still enough to change my aim point a bit. I played a 6.2 TS in an I20 and wanted a more stable ball flight in this anser.

On the monitor they were extremely similar, launch angle at 12.5 for both, ball speed, spin etc were really close on the monitor. No real winner there except I felt I was putting a better swing on the TS.

On the course I was only playing the TS but it was on a course I play enough to know the difference pretty well. I was getting a small amount of distance today than I usually have with the Anser, but today is freezing so I am not sure how that really compares. The direction was great, very straight with a low mid ball flight, not as much of a curve on the ball.

Overall I am happy with the change if not for anything, a small reduction in spin and a really sweet looking setup with the white/pearl colored shaft and the matte black head.

So far this is the heaviest feeling combo I have hit in awhile. The distance with the 7.2 TS and 8.5 is long, real long.

Lsu's defense let ole miss put 35 up? terrible. Alabama a great defense? they let mettenberger put up yards/points againest them! (plus they only play 2 decent teams all year..)
And dont bring up the typical excuse of "6 titles" because the bcs, its computers and espn are all biased towards the sec. If you think otherwise you might as well think the sky is purple. 4 of those years there have been undefeated teams that havent got a shot at the title so you arent really the national champs.

FSU's D takes a bow to no one in the nation. Every player we have on defense would be a starter or competing at any school in the country. That said the Gators will be the best d we face this year. This game always, always comes down to running the football and turnovers.

To state a prediction that UF will kill FSU is just ridiculous.

You're blaming it on the "computers?" Teams from the SEC have won the national championship the past six years because they have had the best teams. Do you think Florida State could even hang with Alabama? Because if you do, you probably think the "sky is purple." I do agree with you that the rankings are messed up. Notre Dame shouldn't be the number one team in the nation. They have played only like one or two ranked opponents all year.

Again saying something like FSU can't hang with Alabama is just ignorant. 1st this Alabama team is not the dream team they have had. Offense is loaded but the D is not as good as they were last year. They still have a ridic core of RBs and solid WR, great offensive line and one of my favorite QBs in the country. The D is just a bit off from the one they fielded last year, hard not to be when they lost as many top players as they did.

2nd FSU is one of the top teams in the country, balanced at every position on the field and with one of the best Ds in the country.

For FSU this year it's our own fault in the BCS. We have always had the understanding that the ACC schedule will not provide a solid strength of schedule ranking and we need to have one of the toughest non conference schedules. True we got screwed when WV backed out cause they are lame, but we already had scheduled one FCS team and then added another. There is no excuse for FSU to schedule an FCS school ever. We don't have that luxury.

As far as the "computers," I don't think I have heard an argument that supports them having 1/3 of the formula for the BCS. To have them ranking teams that are in the top 5 for the human polls not even ranked is inexplicable. Just doesn't make sense.

You really think Alabama is that good this year? Their defense is not the same it has been in years past.
Sure they are the defending champs but look at who they have beat this year........

Michigan - overrated should have been ranked high teens preseaon not top ten

arkansas - junk, this year
florida atl - junk

missouri - not good
tennessee - junk
miss st - overrated, were only ranked #11 at the time because they had not played ANYBODY half decent
lsu - good, but their offense needs work

So 1 good win and 1 win over michigan. vs 4 ranked teams they are 3-1

And acutally Notre Dame played the same amount of ranked teams as Alabama (4) so don't go saying their schedule is so weak compared to bama. Notre dame is 4-0 vs ranked teams.

Alabama should not have been in the title game last year, you should have to win your conference, heck your DIVISION to be in the title game. And to only drop 1 spot when losing a game is bs.
How can you say they had the best teams in the years where their were other unbeatens that did not get a shot? Im not saying that Boise (Twice), Utah and TCU are better than them but they deserve a shot to find out. When the playoff format comes around then we can start declaring more clear cut national champs.
Also Auburn will eventually have their title stripped because of Newton.

Florida couldnt crush bowling green, ULL or Jax St so I doubt they could crush a good FSU team. Will most likely end up being a good game since they are rivals.

Notre Dame has only played one or two ranked opponents all year. Are you kidding me? I'm not even a Notre Dame fan and I know they had the toughest schedule all year. Michigan State, Michigan, Stanford, and Oklahoma. That would be four, using simple math.

Notre Dame deserves to be #1 just based on schedule and record. Too many people are on the SEC's nuts. You must truly hate Notre Dame if you can't acknowledge the fact that they deserve to be #1.

I preface I wrote the below forgetting about Stanford. ND still isn't the best team in the country but I get them being ranked 1

1. The only win that really speaks to me for ND is the OK game, going there and winning as they did is impressive, however none of the teams they played are top teams. They best team they play all year is ranked 13, and could easily be a four loss team by the end of the year. If ND played any team in the top ten USA Today I think they lose, also lose to Ohio St.
2. Alabama's D reminds me of FSU's in the 90's - tope talent at every position and the best coaching. Bama lost some experienced talented players to the draft but plugged in guys that have a lot of ability. I wouldn't want to face their D in the past four/five years and probably until Saban is gone. Just stacked.
3. As far as how the system works ND should be #1 and the SEC champ if they have one loss behind them. I don't think that is the best way to do it, but it's what we have. I think the best overall teams regardless of schedule are Bama, Oregon, FSU, OSU.

I by no means am an SEC guy but the fact is that the SEC has three programs that have talent at every position that is just sick: Bama, UF, LSU. The problem that LSU and UF have has been with the QB, maybe UF is off a bit with receivers and RBs compared to some other schools right now. If pot were legal for these guys then LSU would be ridic.

I would have ND going at least 5-5 if they played all top 10 from USA poll, if not more. Ohio State is way overrated, they have played absolutely no buddy.

ND defense is just as good as Alabama's, ND is #1 points against. Plus they have Te'o.
