What swing weight do the pro's play?

Does anyone know what swing weights the pro's play or where one could find what swing weights they do play?

Personl preference.... just depends what feels right and they hit best...

Don't go and try and copy the pros, every single one of them is extensively tested and fit to what feels and gives them the best results.

someone posted a photo of Tiger's specs a while back and i could have sworn it was D4 for his driver, and D3 for the rest.

Most touring pro's step their swing-weights. If the 3 iron is a D2, the 4 iron would be D2 1/2, the 5 iron would be D3. This will make all the clubs feel the same weight when swinging them.

There was a post on here a while ago with "Tiger's" specs... but the one I saw was bogus. It said he was using a 13.5* driver....

i know nothing about clubfitting...but does that actually make sense?

i always assumed if a 5 iron is D3, and a pitching wedge is D3, they will feel the same weight when swinging them.

isn't that typically why a 3 iron head is so much smaller than a pitching wedge? because the shaft is longer so the weighting is matched?

longhornmike is referring to MOI matching. I don't think many pros do this. The most common technique is swingweight matching, not MOI matching.

I would be more interested in total weights than SW..

From what I've seen, most of them seem to be around D2-D3 with the driver and woods, D3-D4 with the irons and D4-D5 with the wedges. There will obviously be variations from player to player because it's so subjective but those weights seem to be most common.

Why is this question up in the first place?

Drivers ive made, C4 to D5
Irons C9 to D7, some sets is MOI matched, others with progressive SW of 0.5 or 2/3 (close to MOI)
Wedges D3 to E2

SW is not really a good way of matching clubs at all, but its still the standard out there even if most of them who knows what club balance is all about DONT use it for anything else than duplication of one club to another, since its NOT telling anything about TRUE balance or heft. It all depends on the length and total weight at hand, NOT what the SW scale tells us.
A driver as D3 and a PW as D3 is NOT the same, they are not even close to the same.

I hope the question was NOT to trace a SW value "like the pros use", because it dont make any sense at all. Its like asking what shoe number does Tiger use, i want the same as he uses to make sure i have "the best", since SW is just like shoe numbers, its a personal thing, and vary depending on the club we have at hand, and how the player play that club.
