Playstation 3

I'll wait for the 2nd gen PS3..all the first gen's have bugs and nonsense, and as you all know, the ps3 is no different

My girlfriend got two of the PS3 consoles this week. I am hesitant to open it in fear of spending all my sleeptime playing TW 07 and being on this forum. ;)

I have one, fairly impressed by it. The online browser is decent however you'll need a USB keyboard and mouse to enjoy it fully because the controller just doesnt do it when you are selecting letters from a number pad (it takes a few minutes to punch in a long website)

It's sleek and stylish and deadly quite compared to the 360.

It uses the PSP dashboard so it's fairly simple to master.

It's worth it alone for the BluRay but it will be atleast a year before you see the some of the capabilities in graphics.

BUT

If you have a large tv capable of HD you better invest in some HDMI cables because running the PS3 on your HD with the RC cables it comes with it down right hurtful to the eyes.

I had the system running for 30minutes before I went and picked up some HDMI cables, now its remarkable to look at.

I used to be a gamer but I decieded to invest my time into my kids, things have become more gratifying and fulfilling by involving ourselves in activities that are not fruitless or trivial. I have a PS2 that I barely bought 1 1/2 years ago and it was mainly for the DVD function with a few sports games, my kids rarely touch the thing. I only play when the kids are napping or when I have a day off and I have not introduced them to the whole craze and I am pretty sure I never will.

 

I have a co worker that labored for 3 days in the rain and cold waisting 2 work days only to get a $27 dollar investment on his ebay sale, he pointlessly paid himself .90 an hour to waist his own time!!

 

Sorry to be a mudfoot on the issue but It just lacks integrity or purpose IMO!!
