Stamp design for putter head??

Spent a few seconds working on two variations of a hypothetical stamp for club byron members.


I think it would be a great stamp placed where the purchaser wants and the rest of the stamps, paint fill, grip, fitting is left to the would be putter buyer... Keeping that personal craftsman look but also creating a unique stamp for club members

I like the stamp on the right the best, though you would have to shrink it down some unless you centered it in the cavity and put Club on the left and Byron on the right. What about Blue though to keep the Ocean Theme?

I'm thinking the stamp could go anywhere the buyer wants and be in any color. Although I too would prefer blue and on the heel side of the face.

 

I also kept is very simple without much detail like Cameron's custom stamps. I think once the putter has highly detailed logos, stamps etc. they start to look retail and mass produced. Keep it garage/craftsman style and easy to stamp in various locations

Here's my take: Can you simply take the waveform icon shown above the crest and morph the right side into a "B", then lose the rest of the letters.

 

The wave itself will spell CB

Shaft band: Ryan's Club Byron Logo

 

Head: 365g, carbon steel "dale head" version 2,

 

Finish: Acid Rainbow blue

 

Face Milling: A pattern of a set of waves horizontal across the face

Turf on the back left bumper

 

Surfer on the back right bumper

Say we use this as our base...We can handstamp the Club Logo in the cavity..

As I was telling you and drew in the PM's. The only problems I see are:

 

1) That Platinum grip is one of the Limited Edition Exotic Ones (I e-mailed Harry to see what he can work out)

2)Acid Blue Finish - Kinda Hard to do. Would be better and more cost effective if we did a Black Pearl or Brushed Black Pearl Finish.

 

I love the ideas so far ;)

I should read first...The putter would be very simple at first glance. Most of the stuff would be on the sole. We can always change to the Black Pearl. add or subtract things.

I agree. it would be pretty easy to do. The one time consuming thing would be getting that Club Stamp made, but there are more than a couple of companies that are up to the task. What's the Paint Scheme we are thinking for the stampings? Or is that directly dependant on what finish is decided on?

You guys know how much a custom stamp costs? I'm just throwing ideas out there and seeing what sticks. I like the idea of having a custom stamp for Club Byron, but leaving all the other design up to the buyer, or letting Byron do different things on each putter. Seems more unique and craftsman and personal.

I was checking into a handstamping place about 1 month ago.The cost isn`t that much. $82.50 for a 3/8 inch stamp. We were going to get a couple more made so the setup charge should not be more than $45.00 additional.So for around $125.00.

Stamps are amazing... they seem expensive but for how long you get to use them.

 

I know Tom's Needle stamp was NOT cheap. Its a bigger stamp though.

 

thats a good price on the 3/8 though!

We are talking about 25-50 at the very most 100 putters with the Club Byron stamping.
