Slow down swing = sweet spot

Holy cow. OK so maybe I should've tried this a couple years ago when I re-started playing....but I've been trying to knock the crap out of the ball for a long time now. After watching Ai Miyazato's swing - and how balanced and easy she is - I gave it a try at the range last night.

 

Swing Epiphany.

 

I hit the sweet spot again...and again....and again with my driver and my irons. Also keeping the swing compact worked like a charm. I have long arms so when I stretch my reach in my backswing I don't get consistent hits. They're all over the place. Is keeping it compact the key?

 

I see Bubba's swing (I know we all have a thumbprint that's our own with our swings) but he stretches those long arms out! It feels like I'm not using an asset. Although shorter players seem to have nicer swings. I'm confuzzled on my reach a little.

 

Other than that. AWESOME dude. I'm so spazzed about it :)

[color=#800080][color=#800080]I have longer arms and swing coach wants me to reach back as far as possible matches with shoulder turn. It helps keeps arms in front of body for me. From theres he wants me to hit *home runs* to get through balls. I hit *sweet spot* mostly and stay balance. That is the part of my swing that makes my swing, [/color]

[color=#800080]There is hitting it hard as want, but knowing where to start the hard as want part is key. It is why I prefer men's swings. And he coaches me as i were a guy. They hit the ball hard. I should quits golf and goals if ever had to swing slow like she does. I prefer smooth take away and hitting hard as can on way through with hitting shapes.[/color]

[color=#800080]i have disorders and autism, so view golf different, but will probably just be best finding a swing your way or with a pro. A swing that is simple to your brain. Mine is *flat shoulder turn arms reaching out then hitting *home runs* and it works for me. Bubba is good topic as he does it his way, as i learned to have to do to keep going[/color][/color]
