Went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last week

This is how I want my next back yard. It's the practice putting greens at Playa Grande - the resort next to the Finisterra (where we like to go!). They stimp out pretty darn quickly - some of the even minor slopes allow the ball to roll back to your feet. Most of them are fun, some are a little crazy and frustrating. There's a couple that are great for practicing and a couple that are like mini golf so you can do either. Anyway, thought you putterheads might like to check out the pics:

How was this resort? Was it a golf resort? Is it somewhere that 6 or 8 guys can go and play golf for a week? And lastly, how many courses are there in the area? Thanks! Simp

This particular place isn't located on a golf course. It's on a nice beautiful private beach. 6 or 8 guys could easily go and play golf for a week - pretty expensive to golf in Cabo but A-mazing there. I bet there's 20+ courses within 30 minutes of Cabo San Lucas as most are between San Jose and San Lucas. They're everywhere there

When you say expensive....how much are we talking about? $100 per round or more like $200 per round? $200 to me is definitely expensive for a round of golf.

Cabo del Sol is around 250 if i remember correctly great course tho got my first hole in one there when i was 8

Yeah - and the prices go UP from there. You may want to look at Nuevo Vallarta - there's some great deals to be had there and golf packages as well. Cabo is more expensive than Vegas if you can believe that. We have gone there four times now and will probably choose somewhere more affordable next time. Haven't golfed there either - $250 to $350 for a round is a waste of money for me.

Yeah, we have went to San Diego and Palm Springs for the last 3 years and I would say that Palm Springs is the best place that I've ever went to. We're going back again this year as well.

I went online and was curious as to what exactly a golf trip to Cabo would cost and I was shocked! For a 6 day golf vacation with only 4 courses to choose from... the total was around the $4,500 mark! Mind you, this package included an all inclusive stay at a golf resort but still...how much can 6 guys drink?

We're going to Palm Springs this February and for 7 rounds of golf and 2 rental vans the total was $815 and Trilogy (Skins Game), LandMark North (previous Skins Game) and the Classic Club (Bob Hope Invitational) are on the list. Can't beat Palm Springs!
