what was that you used to remove the paint fill?

It's just a general purpose paint remover. Nail polish remover would do.

Thanks! They look better now they're cleaned up. I've played with them a few times and am over the moon with the results. So easy to hit and shape compared to my blades

I'm doing a loft and lie check today so i thought i'd do a new WITB list. I really cannot see anything changing. My wedges could do with replacing however i'm so comfortable with them i can't make myself do it. Anyway, i'll get some new pics now the irons are cleaned up.

I couldn't agree more on extraneous bullsh!t being stuck on the facebacks of the iron/wedges, especially the club features, or in the case of Mizzy, the "quad-cut" blade icon on the back of their 10 & 11 series wedges. Been playin their MP blades since '86 and though they are still comparatively understated, I long for the minimalism of the '80s-90s, lol.

 

Though I would be very careful about removing a faceback badge, because many times, those badges are placed for feel and sound dampening, and not just from a cosmetic stand point.

Nice pair ;) Just waiting for the shaft to come. Trying to track down a shaft adaptor in the UK isn't going to well either. Still the blue looks incredible. I've been waiting for a blue ACP for a long time. I'll break it in in Spain :D

The paintfilling on the bottom of the irons holding up well? I'm curious as I'm thinking of doing the same to mine.

Yup. The only places it where's out is on the bottom of my wedges. They get used a lot though off different lies. I just wipe some paint in every now and then when it goes.

Blue's my second fave color, and I love fillin with red/white/blue-

And I love the putter-

Ya can't beat the 8802 style for distance control-

Finally got the other driver built. My Amp cell pro silver is amazing. I love it. I've won a lot of stuff using that driver. The one thing i waited until the end of the season for was to try tweaking it a bit. I spin the silver too much, about 3700-4000rpm. However, i hit it straight and out there all last season so there was no way i was changing in the middle of the season.

 

So the blue is

 

44 3/4" grafalloy pro launch blue 75x tipped 1" D3 10.5º

 

Silver is

 

44.5" grafalloy pro launch red 75s D2 10.5º

 

I'm off to Spain for 10 days pre season practice so will see what they do side by side. I'm hoping it'll spin less without having to change AoA or anything like that too much.

 

 

 

I've also re shafted my 2 iron. From a DG x100 to a KBS tour x. I've moved to KBS in my irons so i wanted them to match.

Tested the two ACP's head to head today on the course. Using the same balls. These heads never disappoint. I hit them both on every hole i could. To say this Grafalloy blue 75x cost me £25 it's awesome! I've hit shafts that cost 10x the £££££ and not feel this good.

 

I would of said there isn't much difference in ball flight (will find out on the flight scope on Wednesday)

 

The blue was always 6-10 yards longer than the red. And way better into the wind. I've found my driver for this season. It just feels more solid with a stiffer shaft and i can really go at it.

Serious sleeper for sure, I love mine too, coming from a 913 d3 it just feels like cheating, hit it anywhere on the face (and I do) and it just curves back. I am yet to use it in the summer only in soggy conditions and am looking forward to it as I am in and around the same areas in winter on my home course as I was during the summer. How do you find the 3gen i6's? I wasn't sure, have had them on my last two sets of irons and moved onto z grips.

I'm really starting to like the grips. I've used them for a while now. I'd never go back to the cross line full cords i was using

Hi Tommy, got the amp cell pro like you, struggling to find any myfly adapters anywhere! Where did you get yours from? How does the ProLaunch Red Stiff fly in it? Compared with the ProLaunch Blue in X? Cheers

Hi mate,

Diamond golf have them. I have another one so if you can't get one let me know and we can sort something out.

Shaft wise. I hit everything high which is ok cause i like hitting my driver high. It's hard to see much visually on the course. However, the x blue spins way less and was going quite a bit further. I've never had x in a driver and i'm really enjoying it. I spent 8 days in Spain being taught and playing so i hit it a lot. I took both drivers and the silver never got out of the hotel room. I'm extremely comfortable with the blue x. Even miss hits stay straighter.

I'm really impressed with this combo. Solid set up.
