Because i like the feel of the mizuno. I was very tempted to get the Vr pro wedges. I won an mp r12 in a comp and liked it so much i bought 2 more. I have a 52 and 58 in the T11 black nickel waiting for next season as they have a squarer leading edge which i prefer.

I'd love to give them a go again now i'm better and stronger. However now i'm used to mine i'll only change when i wear them out. I do hit 50 balls with them everyday and i really think i've a great feel for them now so it would be silly to change just for the sake of it

Right then. I've finally had 10 mins to do an update. So...

3 wood - titleist 906f4 15.5 x flex aldila vs proto D6 1" shorter than stock GP full cord blue 1 tape

2 hybrid - Nike vr pro aldila NV green hybrid 105 s flex D6 1/2" longer than 3 iron GP full cord 1 tape

3-PW - Nike vr pro combo PXI 5.5 built to MOI spec 1/2" longer 1º upright GP full cord black 1 tape

52º/58º - Mizuno mp R12 54 bent to 52, both with PX 5.5 same length as PW E0 GP full cord black 1 tape

Putter - Ping Nome (Yes! sandy 12 for winter) both 35" with GP new decade 2 tapes

Ball - Srixon z star xv tour yellow

 

I have mizuno T11 52/58 wedges waiting for next season

Finally had time to take a few pics of my new 913fd 3 wood. 1/2" shorter than stock, SW D6, diamana D+ 82g s flex, lamkin crossline full cord + 3 layers of tape :D

 

I'm off to Spain tomorrow so i polished my irons ;)

Great bag! I have the VR split cavities and love them, but I would seriously consider the combos. Also play Mizuno wedges, love their feel. Any man that carries hand warmers in his golf bag is a real man! I have them in my ski bag for Pete sakes!!!

Yeah, hand warmers are a must here at the moment. It's been 4ºc or colder the last few weeks. Better than watching TV

Nice bag. Surely you can't be playing in the uk at the moment too sodding cold/wet/snowy/windy/apocalyptic. Looking to get some rounds in before the masters alsong as it actually warms up.

Not tried them yet. I've had these waiting to be played for a while as i bought them cheap on close out. So far so good

I have the same mizuno mp-t11 in a 52*, 56* and 60*, they feel and look so good.

The only thing I have noticed with mine is that the faces and groves wear out quickly like your old ones.

Yup. 6 months of use and practice and they are worn out quite bad. I've just got new T-11's and they're sweet

Had quite a few changes recently. Clubs have changed quite a bit as i'm getting better and stronger. I'm really happy with my bag as of now. I'm having nike forged blades built but they're for a bit of fun so this is my gamer bag.

A few pics. Hopefully the driver doesn't take too long to come as it's a monster! Trying out the Cobra sunday bag for the first time tomorrow. Love the sun mountain so much, i'm just after something a bit lighter and quicker to run out with for the summer as i have 2 comps a week normally. The nike tour forged 2 iron is something to build when i have the time. Probably going to stick a PXI 6.0 in as i love that shaft!

It's raining today so another update!!

 

I'm on good form at the mo shooting 2 and 3 under in consecutive comps. I've put new irons in and it's the best thing i've done for my game for ages. I've spent a huge amount of time practicing with only my wedges as it was the weak ish link in my game. I've always hit irons well and putted well so it was time to fix my wedge game. I had a little lesson from my mate (+2 hcap) and my confidence has grown. I can now stand 30-100 yards out in no doubt about getting it close.

 

2 iron is my go to club. I hit it about 230-240 and can normally choose which part of the fairway to land it. I'm streaker with the driver so it's become my go to off the tee.

 

3 wood has been awesome since i was fitted for it so i've no interest in anything different.

 

I always use the protype black putter as it's done me proud. I picked up a black series #2 the other day brand new as i've always fancied one and a kind of back up winter stick. I've built it to the same spec as my protype so they're great together.

 

Irons are awesome. Solid feel and flight. Here's an up to date WITB list and a few more pics :D
