Shawn Clement: has anyone used his analogies or techniques???

Watch his newer videos on Youtube with his daughter, she is tiny and hits 280-290 yard drives.  His concepts on the grip, speed and using the ground for power have been around for 15 years, but now are more relevant because all on the tour do it now.  He explains things very simply.  Just don't pay too much attention to his personal swing.

 

His reasoning for a strong grip, using a hammer is the most logical simple explanation I have ever seen.  You have to watch entire videos not just the first 5 minutes.  It makes sense when you listen to all he has to say.  And he backs it ups with LM data.

Yes.... I use a strong grip

 

Shawn Clement is the first teacher I saw to promote a strong grip as the natural grip.  Nobody is going to use a neutral grip to swing an axe, even the handle is oblong so you hold it in a strong grip.

 

Steve Pratt also reinforced my use of a strong grip by calling them "flappers" lol because very little rotation of the club face. I love the power a strong grip has and the natural feel...

 

Infact I think one day the strong grip will be the new go to for pros just like the "power fade" became very popular, love the power fade lol
