Bandon Dunes questions

Here's a real specific follow-up question concerning time between rounds. (Yes, I'm already making tee times for September 2014. :D )

She said they figure about a 4.5 hour round. So, if we played at 7:00 AM, finished at 11:30. Is a 1:00 tee time for the next round too soon?

I'm just wondering about how efficiently they get you shuttled around and fed.

Current sked (in order). . .
Sunday: Old Mac, Pac Dunes
Monday: Pac Dunes, Bandon Dunes
Tuesday: Bandon Trails.

That way if anyone doesn't want to do back to back 36s, they can take out one of the Pac Dunes rounds.

I don't think so. I'm going in early april and have all of our rounds scheduled for a 7 am tee time in the morning followed by a 1:10 tee time in the afternoon. We will be doing this for four days. I also like not having the 2nd tee time too late in the day so that if we want to get back out for one of the free replays for a few holes in the evening then we still have time to do that. I think your schedule looks really good and gives the people options. Below is an example of how we are doing our schedule:

Day 1: Arrive early afternoon, hit balls and play Bandon Preserve
Day 2: Bandon Dunes AM, Old Mac PM
Day 3: Pac Dunes AM, Bandon Trails PM
Day 4: Old Mac AM, Bandon Dunes PM
Day 5: Bandon Trails AM, Pac Dunes PM
Day 6: Go Home
Day 7: Masters starts and rest feet

My experience has been that scheduling about 5:30-6:00 hours apart works well. Tends to give you time to sit down and eat a good meal, get shuttled to next course and loosen up a little. Anything more than that and you are likely to tighten up unless you hit balls again.

Another Bandon tee-time spacing question: I've booked 7 AM tee times for a Bandon trip this summer, followed by 12:30 PM second rounds (Pacific then Trails one day // BD then Pacific the next day). The reservationist insisted that this would be plenty of time b/c 7 AM is the first tee time.

Sound ok? I play fast, but don't have a sense of whether they press others to play fast as well.

The folks at BD know the resort workings pretty well. I would trust their opinions. Also, they are pretty chill about changing your afternoon tee time to something earlier if you finish early. When we were there, we would reserve a tee time for the afternoon that would give up plenty of time to get there, then change it after our morning round to a time that worked better for us. Worst case would be that the afternoon tee sheet is full and your would have to keep your original time.

Loads of time.
Played Old Mac 7:40 and Bandon 12:50 yesterday. Ended up with 50min gap.
Pacific 8:10 and Bandon 1:30 today. Had 1hr 10min gap.

Not sure how big your group is, but the preserve is a super fun rounds for larger groups to end a trip (or late in the day after 36 if you have the light). Thye will generally let you go out as eightsomes on the preserve so you can have a riot a playing KP's and 8 man skin games. If you are like us you also have hoot over a few near aces.

Thanks, for the tip. It's just me and one buddy going but I could imagine that would be a blast. Also, I'll take credit for planning the trip. To make it even more epic my portion of the trip is being paid for by my buddy because he lost a bet. Only think that will make Bandon better is Bandon for free.
