I figure it is about time explain myself.

As many of you know I work for Srixon. I am a customer service and inside sales rep at Srixon Corporate office in Atlanta. I am only 25 years old but this is my 10th year working in the golf industry. I have done everything from range picker, to cart boy, to pro-shop staff, to working on a pro-mini tour to no working for a major manufacturer.

I want to make it known that I am here on this website because I love golf and I am an equipment ho. As you can see the majority of my post are in the flatsticks section, which I own 0.00 Srixon putters. I want to officially say that I am not a "plant" here for Srixon. Very few people at Srixon even know that I am on this website. The marketing department has recently found out that I am here since golfwrx was the highest referring website for the launch of the new srixon.com. I try to avoid posting any opionions positive or negative about Srixon or competitors. When I do post I try to keep my post to facts only to be unbiased.

I do not post on any other sites in terms of Srixon news and releases. My personal loyalty is to this site.

If any one has any questions every about Srixon please feel free to post publicly so I can answer for everyone to read or PM. My job has me infront of the computer for 9 hours a day so I am usually pretty timely in my answers. And working here in the headquarters if I do not have the answer, the person I need to ask is only all few feet away. So all questions comments and concers are welcome anytime all the time.

Also, I cannot get you a job at Srixon, and I cannot get you free priduct. I will gladly however info anyone who is interested, who to contact about jobs, where Srixon posts jobs, what they are generally looking for and just how in general to get into the industry.


In re-cap, I am here on golfwrx as a golf ho who has access to one manufacturers information. But the main reason I am here is the same as many of you. I would be here talking about putters, looking at all the new tour equipent even if I didnt work for Srixon. But because I love and respect this community I gladly offer any informantion or help I can provide.

We're truly very appreciative that you spend the time to tell us about the latest goings on at a major manufacturer.

 

Things like telling us about new signings occurring before everyone else knows (Stenson) and new equipment (Trispeed ball) give your company a human face for which they should count themselves lucky. Srixon are obviously upping their game at the moment with new people and equipment and having someone give us the skinny from the inside makes Srixon even more attractive than they would otherwise be.

Dan, I especially enjoy reading your posts because I am the only person I know who plays Srixon's irons. Most people don't even know what the heck my irions are when they see themm.

 

I am new to the game, have only been playing seriously for 1 year. I live in Manhattan and have hit balls many times at the driving range at Chelsea Piers, which Srixon is the official sponsor.

 

That was the first time I had even heard of or hit a srixon club. Ever since than I have been hooked on Srixon. Keep the posts comming, they are extremely imformative.

Thanks Dan. Your raving about the Srixon Irons made me try a set of 302's and i have shot my best rounds of golf ever (after having Joe Kwok fit em for me first)., including finally shooting 72 last week!!

Can you share the differences between the 302's and the 506's??

i have read on this site that the 506's dig a little more?

are they more forgiving than the 302's?

Differences in the bounce (heel grind, etc)

Bounce for the 302 and 506 is the same

Offset, 506 as .5mm more offset then the 302 per iron

The 506 does have a sharper leading edge but due to the heel/toe cuts in the sole it doesnt dig as as much for a sharp edge
