Is my G20 ruined? HELP!

A buddy of mine came over today and he saw the accra tour proto in my 3 wood, and he wanted it, so he offered a bunch of stuff and i took the deal... well he took it and tried to pull it out after heating it up...(i do not know how to pull shafts) he never could get it out. So he decided that it was going in a hybrid and just cut it off..... and now im stuck with this. So is it possible to get the rest of this shaft out? and how? PLEASE HELP ME!

HE did this and then had the cheek to give it back? Get out of town.
I'd like to know how he intended the cut off shaft to go into a hybrid too - lol. Drill it out. And then poke him in the eye.

Drill it out is correct but first cut it off flush with the top of the hosel then heat the hosel as you would to pull it and drill - it should come out without too much problem.

actually, you could put the broken part in a vice - secure well - heat the hosel and try to pull/twist it out - that might work too.

Agree with heating well and pulling the nub out. You can heat the hosel area of the club with a torch, then wrap the head is a thick towel and pull the nub with pliers. About 20 seconds of heat should do it (keep the torch flame moving over the hosel area or the paint will burn). Drilling out the nub is way more work.

Thanks guys, is there any risk when i drill it out? like could i drill too far?

typically yes, but Ping usually has a beefy hosel plug - you'd have to really work hard to get through it.

Why take a chance since you've never done this before? Take it to your local golf shop and get them to pull it- then give your pal the bill. I'm stunned a friend would leave it like that for you.

And/or- if you are going to replace the shaft I would imagine you would be getting a shop to do that anyway?

Wow. heat and pull simple as that. Oh ya and don't ever let your buddy get within 10 yards of your clubs AGAIN!!!!

Good news is, he will have an even worse time trying to get that shaft into a hybrid and play like a normal golf club. It will make a fine allignment stick!
