I had a couple of these in the past... They were constantly falling off.... But for this price... Why not?

really? where? still the same 30-35 listed that were there before the sale started and half those are leather ones or "just like iliac, jan craig, etc."

I hope I'm wrong, but I bet they end up here first as a "favor" to other members at a significant markup, just like the NDMC grips did and still do!

I checked on eBay Thursday and there was only about 2 Buy It Now sales for the Pom Pom sets. I checked last night and there was probably 7-9 for a set that is listed for $50. Could just be ironic timing.

And everyone who says that the Pom Pom is huge and they might fall off, why don't you do what Rickie Fowler does with those bracelets like one of those "livestrongs" and put it up near the tip of the headcover or even better just throw some elastic bands around them.

I got mine today and the pom was HUGGGGGGEEEE. Cut it off and still looks good

I don't get the problem the newbies have with the size of the pom being too big. I've used Jan Craig headcovers for years and personally I was worried that the pom on the Iliacs might be [u]too small[/u]. The 8" pom on Jan Craig is what I prefer (I think small poms look wimpy and traditionally that was what most pros had on their Jan Craigs). Nevertheless, I ordered 4 headcovers in my club's colors (black, red, gold) for me and another 4 for my wife because this deal was so good. I got mine yesterday and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the wool headcovers and the size of the poms. There even appears to be elastic inside the driver headcover to help hold them on (as there is with Jan Craigs). I didn't expect much but I think this may prove to be a hellava deal.

Mainline, do you have a pic that compares the size between the iliac Pom and Jan Craig Pom? I have Jan Craig's also and prefer the huge Pom's.

[/quote] Never said you were a newbie (I'm pretty sure you are not cutting the poms off because they are too big). In my opinion, poms are supposed to be big to maintain some sense of proportion, but not sure the Rickie Fowler and Rocket Tour crowd knows that. I agree, the operative phrase here is "price was certainly hard to pass up"--- $6 for knitted wool headcovers!

[/quote] You're welcome. My JCs are well-used and have been pulled on and off clubs many times. I'm a traditional JC customer (and take advantage of the good service to send my headcovers back to JC for the free minor refurbishing during the winter), but I'm not complaining about the Iliiacs, and certainly not at $6 each.
