I am curious. Has Keegan ever had a penalty called him him for slow play? Or even been put on the clock? Not trying to defend him or anything, just curious. Maybe I have a higher threshold for slow play (on a side note, I play fairly quick).

I am enjoying the tournament so far, has been some great golf.

He is actually not that slow. They did a lot of waiting for the group ahead (Mr. Charl)

Yep. Freely admit it. I'm totally a hater. He might be good ... but watching him play makes me want to scratch my eyeballs out. It is freaking painful.

Keegan would be in trouble if his group was on the clock, since he often takes 50+ seconds to pull the trigger he would have bad times. But since his group keeps up due to fast walking and putting, he has not often had to face being on the clock. With Keegan or Furyk I FF past the routine or it is unwatchable.

Near as I can tell, he isn't brutally slow, just neurotic in addressing the ball. I always figure that as long as you're not holding up play and you're keeping up with the group in front of you, do whatever you want.

The Chinese kid from the Masters is way more painful to watch I think. There's no reason to spend 3 full minutes strategizing a 60 yard wedge.

I had a good chuckle today watching his routine when he had that deep bunker directly behind him on the one of the finishing holes. Standing to the side of the ball it looked like he adjusted his cap a good 12-15 times before he was ready to pull the trigger.

I followed his group in Phoenix. I bet he walks faster the. Almost everyone on tour. You only go on the clock if you're out of position of the group in front. He moves at almost a jog out there..,


As for his routine, looks like he's pretty amped up to me. If I was like that in tourneys, I'd be exhausted by hole 12. I wonder what his heart rate is.

My guess is Adderall. Theres no way that dude isn't medicating. If he isn't he should be on a heavy dose of Xanax, like Dufner has to be haha. How many times is he twisting his club. This routine looks new to me I don't remember him taking so long. I don't mind the stutter step its the neurotic visualization with crazy club twisting that makes me want to kick him.

Agreed. Also if he's not slow then who cares. I'd rather watch him play then watch Web Simpson put me into sleep coma. People and their quirks make the world go round. If everyone was a robot it wouldn't be any fun to watch.
