Beware - golferexpo

Just a quick note to let everyone know to be careful when dealing with this EBAY vendor. I won

a Cleveland wedge from these guys on January 3rd and paypalled them the same day. They seemed to have a lot of feedback that was positive and I wasn't too worried. A week later, I still had not received the club, so I gave them a call on a Friday. I was told the club was scheduled for delivery the next Monday.

 

Well that day came and went, called again and was told that it would be there Thursday. Long story short,

I waited until January 22nd and after many attempts to reach them, I was told that the club must have been lost and they would expedite another one out to me. I asked for a tracking number and they couldn't give me one. Then they tell me that it will be another week before they can ship one! I told them to refund me and I would look somewhere else.

 

After this fiasco, I gave them negative feedback stating that after 3 weeks there was still no club. They responded by leaving me negative feedback also. I should have expected that since after looking at their

feedback, any time they scew up they make it appear that they did the right thing and the customer is expecting too much. There are too many "good" EBAYers to have to deal with these folks.

 

I'm starting to suspect that they didn't have the item on hand in the first place.

Yes, I did get my money back over 21 days after the initial payment. I talked to them every week after 7 days of the order and was told on three seperate occasions that the club should be arriving in two days. I suspect that they never had the club in inventory when they sold it and were anticipating a shipment that never arrived.

 

Their feedback is over 99 precent and I foolishly thought that they just had a few "problem" buyers. Their methods when you leave negative feedback are to not accept responsibility but to immediately give you negative feedback also. You then are left with the option of rescinding your negative feedback to "clear your name". Not a nice bunch of people to deal with.

 

By the way, alls well that ends well. I ended up ordering a "like new" wedge from 3Balls.com for $79.00 plus shipping. The club arrived 3 days later, still in the original factory wrapping! Go figure!

Golfwrxs unite. Lets all leave him terrible feedback. Come on i bet we can get it down to the negatives!

 

I just wanted everyone to know about their attitude and business practices. There are enough

"good" sellers on E-Bay to have to put up with this kind of stuff. If I make a few people think twice about

dealing with them, I've accomplished what I wanted to.

Sorry to bust up the hatin' parade, but I thought the name sounded familiar and upon further investigation, found that I left them positive feedback. They shipped me the wedge I bought, in the described condition, and got it to me quickly. It sucks that you had to go through what you did, but they do come through often enough.

Yeah that's true enough about them "coming through" more times than not, but God help you

if you are one of their "OOPS" orders. Customer Service is not their top priority. As they state in any Negative feedback they get. And they NEVER accept responsibility for the screwup! Also, take a stroll

through their feedback and see how many times negative feedback is rescinded. Then look at the

feedback that they left the buyer. Heck, they got me to take mine back! I shouldn't have done

it..... :rolleyes:

They play a really dirty game with feedback. Automatically give you

negative feedback if you do. Everone should look at their feedback

history and go back a ways. A pattern begins to emerge. It taught

me a lesson about doing my research. I'm sorry to hear you got

caught up by these guys. It seems that if what they are offering is

in stock, they are great. I suspect they are auctioning inventory that

they anticipate to have. I will never do business with them again.....

Reebus glad things eventually worked out for you, albeit with some metaphorical bumps on the noggin.

 

I usually try to page back as far as my patience allows to check on specific negative feedback. Not always easy or fun to do, especially if one gets lazy as I do and/or is in a hurry to bid for the item in question. To test a seller's customer relationship skills, it's also a good idea to inquire through email as to why a transaction went bad. I did this once and got a very thorough and thoughtful reply, upon which I bought the item from that seller without a hitch.

 

Yeah, I finally got everything resolved after a VERY frustrating week-and-a-half of trying to contact

those jokers. The kicker is about two weeks ago, I get an E-mail from them stating they are

ready to ship my club. I e-mailed them back, and told them that I'd refuse it. Suddenly, they

respond to E-Mail. The whole time I tried to contact them during the "sale", they were mutes...

Type in "golferexpo" where it says negative feedback "received", and look at what a disaster this seller is! This may take several minutes to search for and download the info- wait for it. This is super useful! :tongue:

Man...after reading all the negative feedbacks....and yet they are still at 99% positive...i think these guys should be banned from doing business on ebay. They say their Customer Service is the Top Priority and yet about 50 or so are very unhappy with their purchase. Also they claim that they have fast shipping....yeah right.....I would never buy from these people....

Hey, you live and learn... At least I wasn't scammed. I really would have been O.K.

with them if they had accepted responsibility and been easier to contact. The thing that

really torqued my jaws was after I gave them negative feedback, they came after

me as if it had been my fault. There should be an appeals process that E-Bay offers

in this case. I didn't have any negative feedback before I ran onto them and ended

up "wussing" out to protect myself. Believe me, I really look at feedback

before I bid now!

After reading through their ebay feedback I'm now pissed at these idiots and I've never purchased anything from them (nor will I ever).

Great! That was the whole purpose of this thread. If you do business on the web, you

ought to take communication seriously. I was just trying to make sure that none of my

"brothers and sisters" here had to deal with this outfit. There are too many Good guys

out there....

Agreed!!! What I really hate about eBay is PAYPAL, and the e-check whata crock of $@#^, that is. I mean if you buy it today you can't receive your item until 7-10 later. These A-Holes are very religious about it.

 

I got my Paypal money the other day for a wedge, put the money in and sent out the item that day, it didn't clear until 4 days after I sent it, I guess I just trust people too much, but from now on I will only do on-line purchases on here or Callaway Pre Owned. Screw eBay.

I bought a wedge from these Word not allowedtools last year sometime and they sent me a different lofted wedge. I emailed them about it and he said to send it back at MY expense and they'd send me the right one. I said forget it, I'll keep it and go with someone else. This guy is a joke. Ironically, I use this wedge now.
