bridgestone staffers

I want to throw in my .02 in about Bridgestone GOLF. From word of mouth, because I couldn't find a single demo club in San Diego to hit or even to look at, I bought a J33R 460. That is a first for me never demoing a club in 25 years of playing golf! The rep told me about a demo day at the last minute, that day, at a locate range, couldn't make it. That being said, I love this driver, when I get the proper shaft in it, well the 905R 757 might just get kicked out of my bag! I wonder what there irons play like???? Bridgestone did spend millions to help win a Formula 1 World Championship, can they just spend a little more on Golf so Pro Shops/Golf outlets, especially in So Cal., can have some clubs to show the general public.

 

 

Funny, their rep in my area did the same thing. Backed out of demo days. Twice. They are probably as inept of a marketing company for golf as has ever existed. I don't recall EVER seeing an ad for anything but their balls. They certainly seem like they want to keep their club line a secret.

I too find this a bit strange. I mean the quality of their clubs is top notch...as good as anything out there IMO, and all they really advertise is their balls. Too bad they don't push them more because I think they would do very well.

Agreed, there woods are top notch, I have talked to many guys and they said that stock and tour are basically the same club. they should push there clubs some more instead of just the balls

definitely agree with you rich, their clubs/products are just super underrated its crazy...i think though that they are slowly making the push, just look at all the new staffers they got this year, and i feel the staffers are good quality mix too...much props to Bridgestone/ Tourstage.

It's funny we basically still can't get any of the clubs up here in Canada.... I'd love to be able to demo the drivers and find one perfect for me (have tried 4 of them, nothing yet). They look and feel fantastic though, just nothing's doing up here.

hey all:yes bridgestone golf signed some more players for '07,but most of them are just a ball bag hat deal.maybe some of those players can do what freddy has done and ease into bridgestone clubs.when he signed with bridgestone he was only using their ball ,but now he's got their irons and driver in the bag even though they're very custon and not what you can find at retail.hope this helps

Bridgestone in America only cares about selling golf balls. The company does not concern themselves very much with the club line and even though they have a great product in clubs they would much rather sell the pro shops golf balls then clubs. Look at the new commercials and print ad: very little to do with there new gc irons and hybrids and all about the golf ball. I would love to see Bridgestone make a play in the club market because I believe there products are extremely good and now with the addition of the gc irons they now have an iron that can cater to the mid to high handicap golfer as well as the players irons already in the line.

Probably be like a Titleist deal. Bridgestone will offer clubs but really get there ball out there into the market. Than use that exposer to gain brand recognition and dominate in the club market later. I think there ball fittings are going to be a great catalyst for this.

I think a lot of guys on tour are creatures of habit. Especially one that has been on tour for 20+ years. When you get used to something you don't easily switch. I doubt its cause he dislikes the irons so much that he wont play them... just doesn't like em enough to switch what he has known for a good while.... if thats what you are insinuating. But who really knows. I cant speak for him... or any of the guys. Only speculation. Besides I think Bridgestone at the time wanted to push there ball more than they do there product line. Either way, I do know that Bridgestone makes some quality equipment and no one in the golf industry would argue that.
