How many yards do you gain per mph ball speed

for a driver, at around 157 to 160 mph ball speed. LMd the sldr vs r1, only averaged +3 mph ball speed.

There's not a direct, perfect correlation because of the various factors involved (I.e., launch angle, spin, etc) but here's a great chart from a GolfWRX article for swing speed:

Thanks for the help. I went on a launch monitor with my sldr vs the r1. I only had about a 3 mph ball speed increase with it. So I think 5 yards isnt quite worth the time and money spent on this SLDR and retooling it to fit launch conditions my R1 already met. Not saying the SLDR is awful, but my r1 already fit me quite well.

Call me crazy but if I could get 3mph ballspeed with the right fit I would make the switch.

Approx 1 mph = 2 yards

@mvs92 is right, we can as a rule of thumb use 1 Mph ball speed = 2 yards carry

If you hit a driver with 100 Mph club speed with a PTR value of 1.45 the ball speed will be 145 mph
- if you can improve impact spot on the face to maximize PTR and ball speed we can get up to 1.5 as PTR, giving us 150 mph ball speed.

In this example, the same club speed, gives a difference of 5 Mph in ball speed = 10 yards difference in carry
Typical PTR value of NON fitted drivers is 1.42-1.43, so they are leaving 15-16 yards carry

Ball speed / Club speed = PTR, and anything below 1.48 is not a good fit, since we also bring gear effects on the face into the math, so we might end up with a "spin problem" who would not be present at at higher PTR value, so its not only for distance we should improve PTR, its also for club control and direction.
