Al J, we are starting the move to Iowa this week. Ladahl going Thursday/Friday and I will be Saturday/Sunday. TCI has a new hotel in the course, and is charging $75 per night. For guests, $36 to play and under $30 the replay. The comment is that the course is in top shape. Anyone that wants to get down for the weekend, PM me. I am planning to play Harvester in Sunday.

Friday looks like the "nicer" of the two days. I could play either day, but might prefer Friday afternoon of the two days. Haven't been down to the Town Course this year. Think I'll have some S-55's that will need testing so you could watch me swing new irons on a difficult track. What could go wrong? LOL!
I'm guessing there will be frost delays both mornings by the low temps shown.

Alright, since Al is going to be down in Chaska area, we're kicking around the idea of the Town Course around noon-ish. Gonna make a tee time tomorrow morning. Anyone else in to make it into a 4-some? 46 balmy degrees. Walking for me to stay warm too. Have Clicgear if anyone needs one.
I love fall golf. If its raining that day though, my body just won't allow cold AND rain. Too much to pay for afterward. LOL!

So playing Town Course at 12;30 Sat now I need a good option for Sunday. Meeting the Wife at Rosedale Mall at some point before or after the round. Any ideas Rob mentioned Francis Gross would that be worth playing? Played it once about 7 years ago.

I play "Gross National" pretty often. It's usually in good shape, but not great. Greens are usually pretty good. Lotta trees. Cool old school architecture on some holes. (#3 is a heckuva par 3.) It's a good course overall and you can't get much closer to Rosedale. Gotta hit it fairly straight to score well, but its not an overly difficult course. Lotta old school slope to many of the greens. Some pin locations are fun.

Arthur Hills was a maniacal weirdo on #11. That hole just ain't right. Dammit, that whole course is fairly tough.
Those conditions certainly made it beastly.
#12 par 3 and then a short par 4 to the right around marsh #13 reminds me so much of Rush Creek's #12 & #13 back to back like that.

Just when my equipment gets interesting, the weather turns to crap. Just got a Motore Speeder to try with my R11s for some direct comparison with the Covert. Maybe I'll have to hit the course during the week for a short 4 or 5 hole stretch with the two drivers.

Black Tie vs Speeder. Could be fun.
