Kent Model

Any members own or use a Slighter Kent putter? I have been thinking of ordering a custom one but I have never tried a Slighter before. How does it compare to a Napa? YES Sophia?

I regret that I did not see your post earlier. While I have not tried the Kent, I do have a Slighter Bellevue purchased 4 years ago, which is the only putter I've used since...and I have several Camerons (I like the older oil cans & gun blues or blacks, not so much his stainless stuff) & 3 gorgeous Bettinardis.

With a lot of respect and appreciation for Cameron and Bettinardi (Byron, Mills, etc), I don't know of anyone, anywhere today making better putters than Tom Slighter. And you don't have to be a tour pro to get Tom's personal attention. You can exchange emails and phone calls with Tom, and he'll personally help you work out the specs for your putter. It doesn't get any better than that. I don't expect you to believe just my opinion - slightergolf.com has their own forum of customers both satisfied and perhaps otherwise...check it out!

I second the above poster's comments. I own a Tacoma and it is the best feeling putter I've ever had in my hands. Tom treats you like a rock star as well. I felt like I had his undivided attention. I cannot recommend him highly enough. When I get the $$ you can bet I'm ordering another one! It's a can't miss.

Make that 3. Tom is soooo easy to talk to and work you'll think you're the favored to win the Masters and you want him to make the putter that will lock it up. And there's not a hint of pressure to buy. You can chat for 30 minutes about putters and he feels he's just given you info that will helpw you to choose the best putter maker for what you want, whoever that happens to be.

Good move. I own a Kent the the thing is pure. I alternate between a Kent and the Portland.

I had a long neck Tacoma made, last year and it is GORGEOUS. Tom was great to deal with, like finding a long-lost friend who treats you like a superstar. I was also fortunate enough to get a super deal on JGalls Bellevue, a few months ago. OMG! How a person could sell a putter that feels that sweet is a mystery to me. I have thanked him over and over for the great deal and an awesome putter.

You won't be disappointed with your entire experience, I am sure.

I was also fortunate enough to get a super deal on JGalls Bellevue, a few months ago. OMG! How a person could sell a putter that feels that sweet is a mystery to me. I have thanked him over and over for the great deal and an awesome putter.

Anyone ever notice on slightergolf.com that some customs have finishes that are not offered in the price quote page. For example, I know I've seen more than a few copper finishes, but it's not an offered finish.

The finish that I am getting on my putter wasn't offered on the price quote sheet either, but I was told to put the type of finish in the special instructions category.

Purchased a Slighter Tacoma and its on the way, should be here in 2-3 days. I am already 120% satisfied with everything and i dont have it in my hands only have seen the pictures.

Congrats!! I can't wait to get mine, but I still have around 2 months before I get mine! I can't wait though as right now I am stuck using a 1973 Ping Zing putter as my gamer at the moment. I am sure the wait will be worth it though.

I just had to add a little note to my previous post. I don't get to play as much as I would like, (who does?) and each time I play I have to look for the bright part of my game. Today, the boss took us out for 18 holes and I bagged the Bellevue for the first time. It started on the first hole and continued, without fail. The Bellevue is incredible. The feel of the head throughout the stroke is solid and confidence inspiring. I made more 7-10 foot puts in my round today than I have made in a long time. It was easily the bright spot, as my driver swing has once again gone AWOL. I had more confidence over the midrange and short putts that I have had in years. Thanks so much for putting this putter in my bag. It is an awesome stick and will continue in the bag for a long time. Now, I just need to get the colors right.
