Clubs Lying Around The House!

How many of you leave your clubs lying around the house and eventually your spouse or significant other trips over your club?

Can't they see the club and simply move around it?

My wife just doesn't seem to understand my point of view on this! She hid my six iron underneath her side of our bed! I was searching the house upside down to find my six iron!

I can understand putting your shoes, clothes, purses, etc. away, but not my golf clubs!

Any others out there feel my pain?

My house is covered in shafts, heads, stand bags, staff bags and putters. LOL. It doesn't matter if it is my office room, my bedroom or the living room.

My Wife has finally just given up and no longer complains

You just have to wear them down. LOL

She tried hiding my clubs once.....I started hiding her shows until they were returned to their rightfull place in the kitchen

How timely. My wife wants me to put stuff up on line TODAY. I'm hesitating, but she looks at the den then glares.

"How many irons and drivers and putters do you need?!"

"I thought you can only carry 14 clubs!?"

UGH!

I'm sure that I'll be putting them all up in a day or two. Cleveland CG4s, KZG irons, Tri Ball, putters...man! I'm sick!

Not only do I get chewed on for leaving putters around the house, but I also get tuned up for taking practice swings on the carpet. Nor was fiance happy to see a couple clubs a week showing up on the doorstep over the past several months. Even the mail man was busting my balls about my club hoeing. Some people just don't understand.

The comment about the mail man was funny. I had the UPS guy tell my wife "Man, your husband buys a lot of golf equipment". on one of the deliveries. She couldn't wait to tell me that. I was like: Dude, shut up, she doesn't need any help....

Have a 3W, 2 wedges, and my Momentus in the living room as well as a chipping net with dipple balls. All in case I want to work on my swing during comercials, practice chipping, etc. My wife complains, but accepts it's part of my life.

Recently been expanding my club hoeing. Will have to keep the UPS guy away from my wife!

Nothing like the UPS guy selling you out to the wife. My mail guy wasn't that brutal.... one day he is delivering a club and I happened to be in the garage, as he hands me the box he says, "did you ever think it might be swing and not the clubs." Pretty ballsy comment coming from a guy in wool shorts and a safari helmet. Anyway, I am job security for postal workers given the way I buy and sell equipment.

Actually, we keep ours in the bags (including extras) in our playroom. Kids have to keep their bags in their rooms, and every night they have to put up their golf stuff before bed (my 12 year old chips/putts every night).

I tend to walk around at night without the lights on...really don't want to trip over a club at 1:00 in the morning!

Yeah, my parents are always telling me to pick up a putter or some golf balls or something laying around the house. And like what Rich said, whenever I ask about purchasing a new club they always say don't you have enough..then I have to explain the difference lol.

My parents are giving up on telling me I have enough, but, they won't let me use my mom's PayPal account anymore, she said that I use it more then she does, and etc..

I have a section of house for my "toys".

I'll often grab a club to chip/putt around in the basement carpet but I was taught since I was a kid to put my toys away when I am done, and I do. Not that hard to do (like 30sec) and gives my wife 1 less thing to complain about (which is a good thing fellas).

Easy fix for the complaining...have an area of the house that's "your sanctuary" and keep you stuff in there.

Just don't take a divot in the living room like I did :-) My wife was very happy with me.

WHOA. you actually took out carpet. i better

learn from that seeing i have been doing

some of that in my living room. (its only been

6 months since ive been able to swing; hand surgery).

we have loads of snow, and i didnt know divits

could occur on carpet. i hope you replaced it. LOL :drinks:

plus, i, too have clubs everywhere. the worst is about

30-40 clubs leaning on the wall going down the stairs

to the basement. if i got an iching for one i just open

the door and reach .

There have been points in the last year where we've had golf clubs in EVERY room of our house. My mom used to complain a bit, but since, my dad, brother, and I all golf. Now that she golfs as well, the golf clubs only get put neatly aside when company comes over.

It got to the point where she put a tall wooden basket in the downstairs bathroom for decoration. It needed something in it, so she grabbed a couple fairway woods and putters to fill it up!!

I have taken the "sanctuary" advice. The basement now has a "man room" under construction that is strictly for my stuff. My wife actually bought me one of those golf racks to put the clubs on and most of the time they are where they are supposed to be, unless I am working on the paintfill or something like that. But the "man room" is to be decorated by me and me alone. This has been a source of controversy in the house but she has finally relented. I won the argument when she asked me not to paint the walls kelly green, jokingly she suggested a color from the golf bag. What do I pick? The putter cover! The lime green "Baby Ben" cover! I win (and Home Depot will be matching that color! :D ). Now if she will let me get the one accessory that I truly covent, the Mitchell loft and lie machine :o . I have one question though, I am thinking about getting a photo of the famous Hogan 1 iron shot, anyone know what model that club is? Would it be impossible/expensive to get one and have it restored and put on the wall next to the photo? Thanks.

I have a club in every room of the house, as long as they are in a place that she wouldn't trip on one my wife really doesn't mind. She does mind when I slo-mo swing in the living room though, no divots in the carper, she is always afraid that I will put another hole in the wall. And yes I did say another hole, the first HOLE is a WHOLE different story. I fixed it, but she never forgets.

Got a club in every room of my apt., mostly wedges. My girlfriend use to never say anything till I got a bad bounce off a door frame a hit her in the forehead with a ProV1X. Put a big knot above her right eye two days before I spent my first Christmas with her family. Had to repeat the story a dozen times and I think half her family still thinks I hit her. But what are you going to do, give up practicing your short game in the house? Not a chance unless one gets to close to the plasma but I more carefull about hitting that then I am her. People heal, expensive electronic devices do not.

The closet in our entry way has become my golf closet. Actually, her clubs and shoes are in there, too, but they rarely get used. I also have a bunch of stuff in the garage. If I leave something out like a club or some balls, my 18 month old will get ahold of them (nothing good can happen in the house in this situation) so I try my best to keep it all stashed out of sight.
