Word from "my guy" is that these will fit between the AF302 and AF502 Irons

 

These remind me of the Miura Passing Points and Titleist Z Irons

 

My set is on order and will be received after the PGA Show.

The club builder I go to has 6 sets coming in and I think 3 of each.

All I know is that I paypal'd some money to hold one set 4-PW, when the time comes I guess ill decide after hitting them.

Sounds like a great idea, I am definitely curious if the non plated feels better & will it make a bug difference to the plated one

Actually these are razor thin more geared to fhe better player.
Defintely more playeresque than the 302 thin topline and less
Offset.

I can have pics of 302 vs sus316. Give me a day or two

In the pics they look a little like the miura pp9003. Similar high toe and offset.

wow gorgeous- can't wait to see the comparison pics. just demoed some epons at fairway golf and was really impressed with the feel.

i demoed the 7 iron with nspro 950s.
although the shaft was not suited to me
still enjoyed the clubs.

setup is the best in epon iron lineup. minimal
offset baby blade like and a thinner topline compared
to the 302. love the contrasting satin on the face at address.

feel is nice but i cant discern its ss to be honest. they feel very
good and are quite forgiving. i like these better than the personals.
ordered a set with super peening blues.

they are not as razor sharp as pics suggest. they are a tad thinner on the top compared to 302.
il have pics this afternoon.

comparo pics with 302 and af tour. the sole of the sus316 is narrower

than the 302 by a noticeable margin and slightly narrower than the aftour.

this is makes it more noticeable with the more pronounced trailing edge of the 316.

 

it also has the least offset among the 3 models and has a slightly narrower topline.

it is also visually longer heel to toe in comparison to the other models mentioned.

The reason I ask is because it's quite unusual for stainless to be forged. Almost all cast clubs are stainless, and almost all forged clubs are carbon steel. And if you look at the other irons there is "forged by endo" written under the logo, which is standard for all Epon clubs, but not on the SUS316s

irons look ok to me. for me i prefer a smaller head (heel to toe) so im not sure how these would appeal to my eye. offset looks fine to me though and i like the smaller sole width.
overall i dont find these irons (and of course i have not seen them in person so perhaps they rock in person) to be anything special as i still am in love with my AF tours.

Sorry but the intersecting lines in the cavity back are off putting to me. I prefer the look of the AF302, I just wish the 302 had alittle less offset. Interesting that they forged a stainless steel head, that must be a one of a kind forging.

Thanks for posting those comparison pics, Spoon. Seems to be the year of swirly stuff in CB's from Japan... Miura did something similar with their MG CB1007... Not sure I like the trend.

for those commenting on the cavity trust me they look different in person.
a little less angular and more organic. i love them and they are growing on
me. probably the least busy model epon has ever produced.

as the saying goes cant make everyone happy.
