After second round, still loving having the unit and somewhat eye-opening on yardages although i think i may have some anomalies and such that will even out once i get more rounds in. The most important thing i have learned is that i dont play enough golf - man, you guys i follow play a lot and i am constantly getting notifications of players signing for rounds. My hats off to all of you.

You can edit the shot to move it to the fairway if it wasn't captured correctly, sometimes the map doesn't correlate perfectly and a close shot could be marked as off the fairway/green. I keep fairways hit and GIR stats on my uPro so I can go back to that if I need to double check during a post-round edit.

That's what I ended up doing was to move the shot close but in the fairway to recognize the Fwy. Thanks!

Nice work! Did you have to do anything special to get them to recognize that? I have my Twitter linked so if that is it then all I need to do is make a damn shot!

1.5 rounds in and I love this thing. There is just so much potential here. What about a feature that shows you how you are in relation to par on specific holes, or where you hit your drive or approach shots on specific holes?

I would love to see how often I miss the fairway on #5 to the left. It sure seems like every time!

I can honestly see this product dropping my index by a minimum of a shot. Just the average distance for the wedges alone will be worth that.

when you add a penalty stroke, do you normally add it to the shot that went into the hazard or the one you hit after dropping?

not sure it really even matters, just wondering what SOP is for you guys

I add it to the shot that actually went in the Hazard so I know which club I hit the bad shot with.

Nothing special, they responded to a round I posted on twitter, asking if I had any shots that I could submit for #ShotoftheWeek.

Holy merciful Pete. My short game is awful.

Funny thing this game. I had my lowest index ever last year by getting up and down from basically anywhere. I learned to hit the low, spinning pitch and was insane with it.

Fast forward one year and I am hitting the ball better than ever, again have lowered my index (by 1), but now the pitch shot is completely gone and I get nervy as heck over every shot from inside 100yds.

Strange game, this golf. Off to the practice green I go.

That's always the hard one for me. Especially when you hit it OB white stake and have to retee it. I usually double tag it but the issue is it says I hit it two yards so I usually delete that shot and add penalty to the new shot.

i did email them about a problem with recognizing a green on one of the holes. They haven't responded yet but I'll give them time.

From the WRX reviews to the member reviews, Game Golf definitely has me intrigued. I have one question and it may have been answered somewhere in the 28 pages of thread. If so, I apologize.

Does GG show trajectory of the shot or only the distance from one shot to another (the shot distance)?

I couldn't find anything (but of course I'm terrible at searching) ...

pretty certain it's legal since it doesnt provide you with any information during your round anyway


i have a couple questions:

what is the automatic shot detection that is mentioned on the website? seems like it knows when your hips move during a swing and will detect shots that you maybe didnt even tag???



also, I didnt think gamegolf had any way of knowing where the pin is located on a green, but somehow it always seems to be pretty close.....can it tell when I bend down to pick up the ball from the hole or something like that? its kinda weird how accurately it locates the hole sometimes

Indeed: Many ways to score well. Knowing your game, and playing to your strenghts, is surely a good starting point.

YES!

Legal for tournament play in both the USGA and RnA! Reason is that it doesnt provide real time stats, or advice.. just post round analysis...

I just imported my first round and it isn't showing up in my profile. The importing seemed to go fine and it stated that it was complete and ready to view, but nothing is there. Not a great first impression!

You have to "sign" your round first. Right now it's just in holding status until you review your round, fix any mistakes (such as missing tags).

Yea there are no rounds to review. After the transfer completes, I saw the button to "review your round" or something similar. Once I clicked it, it took my to the "My Rounds" section of the dashboard, where it stated I has no unsigned rounds to review.

I got an email from customer support tonight. They were experiencing a short outage when I uploaded my round but it was recovered. False alarm!

1) Shot detection. When I uploaded my round, a couple of shots said "detected shots". Apparently it's a new feature that GameGolf can detect a shot when you forgot to tag it. The device can detect hip movement! Who knew?
2) New signing options: You can make a round private, or not include the round in the stats. Click the "gear" icon next to the "sign round" button to change the options.

Does the device need to be plugged in to update it? Or was this an update on their end
