Superstroke Countercore Pistol GT TOUR

I grabbed this putter grip at my local store for a discounted price. I guess they just aren't selling at all and it definitely has the feel / fill of a Pistolini / Pistolero grip from Scotty.

My Newport 2 came with some absolutely s*** Winn grip so I had to get it off and went this new route but, can't seem to find much of any information on it.

Basically, it's the smallest / thinnest Superstroke I've seen on the shelves and was discounted so they must not be selling. Has anyone else gamed them? Do they hold up well compared to the Flatsos, Slims, etc. etc.?

I like the feel on my newport 2 as stated but, I am just as partial to my flatso 2 on my #9 Odyssey.

All SS grips wear the same. I like GT Tour a lot. As a person who typical uses standard size grips it’s a sort of best of both worlds with size and no taper.

I game one. Love it and the GTR Tour. Like a non-tapered midsize grip.

I have the 2.0 on my GoLo 6 and love it. Used it with the 50g core in and out and settled on leaving it in. 35 inch putter and I grip at just under 34 and it adds some nice stability. Put a 1.0 on a Kombi S and its just a hair too small for my hands....

Anybody have issues with the weight wiggling inside the shaft? Got a 75g weight to go in my new grip and I feel it bouncing around...

Does it have the foam around the end of the weight so it fits tight inside the shaft?

Yes it does. I probably ordered the wrong type of weight or something. Dang it!

Are there different types of weights? The grip is the new traxion pistol gt 1.0

That's odd, I haven't seen the new grips but I just assumed they were the same. The weights I have fit so tight within the shaft it's hard to remove them so I am surprised to here about the rattle.

The SS countercore weights fit into the Traxion.

I use the Pistol GT 1.0 on my putters. Really like the feel. You will like the grip. Great feel.

I just picked up the new Traxion GT Tour grip in black. It is a lot smaller feeling than any of the older styles. I have the GTR Tour and it looked like the same size but when I put it on the Traxion felt much smaller and I could hardly feel the pistol shape anymore it felt very straight. If they would have not jacked up the weight on the GT 1.0 to 83g I would probably like that better. But since the weight on my GTR Tour is 67g, 83g grams will change the feel of my head weight a lot.

I have a CC GT 1.0 as well with a 50g and 25g weight. The CC GT 1.0 weight is only 52g so adding the CC weight makes sense. Now with the Traxion GT 1.0 at 83g what is the point of a additional weight unless you like +100g grips. Come on SuperStroke keep it consistent at least, not all of us just throw on a new grip without thinking about the weight.

You may need to tighten it more. You can also wrap the pad in something extra like duct tape to make sure it is jammed in and not moving freely.
