Dump Find Today

At the dump, minding my own business, and I find this MacGregor bag. Cleaned it up a bit, and put my MT Tourney irons and Hogan woods in it. Will also carry around my MacGregor Tommy Armor CF4000s in it.

I've been on the lookout for a decent classic looking bag...certainly didn't expect to find it at my local dump.

Interesting the clubs the guy had. Mostly all northwestern clubs, but cobbled together from different sets, and an interesting Wilson pitching wedge that I'll post a couple pics of later.

My father's homemade salsa. Fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, peppers and onions from his garden. Freaking awesome.

The wedge looks squished to my eye, like top to bottom. Just looks funny.

The wedge says "LP" so it's probably a late 70s "Low Profile" model. Wilson offered a set of Snead Blue Ridge around that time with forged low profile heads, and they may well have used those heads for other models.

Thrift stores, dumps, estate sales, even Play It Again Sports keep club ho's dreams alive. The ongoing hope of that ultimate score. I still think I'm going to stumble onto that set of BeCu PINGs for $24.

You're more likely to find copies of PING BeCu irons at that price.

    Good Luck..

You gotta keep the dream alive. Every time I walk into a thrift store I am hopeful that I am going to find that “holy grail”.
