Trunk organizer

Got a new car and upon unloading my trunk I realized I need something to try and help organize stuff... Anyone use or have recommendations for a decent semi rigid organizer?

Found some stackable Rubbermaid ones at Costco last year that are awesome, will try to post a link.

I had seen those but was leaning towards an organizer for the compartments to actually keep stuff separated...

I just recently got the Samsonite one and think it’s great. Holds 3 pairs of my size 13 shoes in the bottom and up top you can configure the compartments a couple different ways. You can hold hats, balls, change of clothes, rain gear, etc. just really helped me get all the golf “stuff” together in one place. I forget the exact price but think you can get it for $40-50 at a number of places.

That's actually the one I was highly considering and was hoping this thread would produce some actual hands on info before spending the 50$ on it.. Like you it would just be nice to centralize everything and lighten the bag some so everything doesn't have to be jammed in or strewn about in my trunk... Would like to throw in a clean set of clothes for those unexpected rain showers and unexpected rounds after work

I have the NORRIS one that I bought from Amazon in 2017 for cheap, but it looks like it is no longer available. Amazon did give this as a recommendation though, which looks pretty nice.

Just received the one that is being described for my birthday. I have used it for about 1 week now and I do quite like it. One thing though is that the lower section that holes the shoes will collapse if you have stuff up in the top compartments. If you have shoes in it, it is fine, but once the shoes are pulled out the compartment collapses. I think I am going to cut rectangular cardboard pieces from the shipping box and use it to reinforce the dividers that came with the organizer. Overall, it is great. Fits 3 pars of shoes, pullovers, balls and hats. Also, it as nice carry handles so you can move it quickly with all the gear together.

Ive had the samsonite one for a couple years now and really like it. has just about everything you need.

Some time has gone by since first asked, but in case anybody can benefit here's my 2 cents FWIW I'd say that it just depends on how you're going to use it and what looks good to your eye? I've posted some examples below. Lot's of options on Amazon.

For myself I happened to find an Izzo golf organizer dble decker suitcase style at a thrift shop a couple of years back, $10 new condition. But there's no reason any of the choices in any of the pics below wouldn't work for me just as well.

I think the Samsonite and Izzo's if you can find them are going for from $40-50 but there are a multitude of options that I'd be happy with.

Example I got She who must be obeyed a couple of collapsible crates for all of the items in her minivan from Costco and I'd be fine with a couple of those for this purpose. Sorry the pics are so big.

If you can ever find the Nike trunk organizer, buy it! I've had my 3 months and it's changed my life. lol

I'll add another vote for the samsonite one. I've had it a few years and it works well. I've used it for Bandon trips where I cram a bunch of stuff in it, zip it up, and it is easy to carry into the room so you have options in the morning depending on weather.

I have the Nike trunk organizer as well. It appears to be almost identical to the Izzo organizer posted above. I've had mine for about 2 years and it works really well.

I currently use the Izzo organizer and it works well. Not too large and fits a couple pair of shoes, balls and shirts rather easily.

+1. The Nike one just appears to have a few more pockets built into the cover.

I’m trying to find something that pretty much only holds my golf bag from falling out of the car when I open the trunk (GMC Yukon for reference) without having to put that ugly net up in my trunk. Anyone have a good suggestion??

I’ve wanted one of these for a while, but with my push cart, my bag, and my daughters bag I just don’t know that I have the room for one.

Samsonite is the way to go. I dont know if you are a shoe guy like me, but if you are, dont put a pair in the upper compartment otherwise it will start to sag. My dad and I had to fabricate a sheet metal frame to hold it up because of the weight of shoes in my organizer. Overall though samsonite is super high quality.

I tried the retail trunk organizers, but it was always a pain getting things in and out. This was my solution.... Clubs go in at an angle. Might paint it to match the interior one day.....Yes I have a puma shoe problem.
