club has a rattle???

Sorry I know this may be an obvious question\answer for you guys , but I just got an Exotics cbx 20° hybrid head and a shaft and took it to a local Roger Dunn, they glued it in and then I used it the next week and there was a rattle , it sounds like it is in the shaft , when I tip it up and down I hear it rattle down and up. Is this just cosmetic or could it be something wrong with the club ? could I play with it? I would take it back but after the rattle its been in my room for months so I may not be able to get it fixed for free lol .

Also, is there a "home remedy" to fix this ? ?

Probably a piece of dried epoxy which you won't be able to do anything with until it's regriped.

Agree. Annoying but really nothing to worry about. Although there are some special tools that some builders might have to get it out w/o having to remove the grip. So it never hurts to take it in to ask.

If the rattle bothers you enough, you could always just drill a hole in the butt end of the grip and see if you could get the loose piece (likely epoxy or possibly the stem of a tip weight) to fall out.

This was going to be my suggestion. You can start small to try and identify how big of a piece you're dealing with and up the size until you can get it to come out.

Maybe insert the pointed nozzle of a small super glue tube thru the grip hole, force just a little glue in, then tilt/roll the shaft around until the loose item binds to the glue ... has worked for me before.

Grips, assuming they are pretty new have a good amount of stretch in them. You could even put some needle nose pliers through the vent hole enough to puncture the tape that covers the shaft butt end, and see if you could open it enough and snag the piece. It's most likely less than a 1/4 inch thick. If that doesn't work, cut a bigger hole in the grip cap like others have said.
