Longest course you played

So I was just wondering what was the longest course you guys have ever played. I just got off a course on monday and we played it from 7590 from the back tees and I dont think anyone can beat that. No par 4's were shorter then 450 and the par threes all exceeded 200. It was an insane experience but fun.

7400 is my furthest.. 17* hybrid into par 4's pretty fun haha. You have to be on your long/short game to play a long course.

I tried to look up the length of a golf course The Milwaukee CC I played wet once and it played the longest but I could not find the yardage

Played the The Playboys club Brute at over 7000 yds

But all this was pre high tech no medalwoods no graphite no new balls

I played a 7200 yd course a few months back did not seem as long

So my answer is I do not know.

I have played both RTJ- The Shoals Courses from the tips

Fighting Joe - 8092- shot 77

Schoolmaster - 7971- shot 74

My current club in Atlanta is 7558 from the tips

i played the links at moses point from the tips and it was 7,549 on the scorecard, seemed like they added yardage on 3's and 5's, all the par 3's seemed like 250 and the par 5's over 600.

I played kinderlou forest (home town golf course in Valdosta GA) which is at 7800 yards it may be thelongest pga tour event ever I think, and anlter creek in colorado springs @ 8200 yard i think its the third longest in the US.

I'm a member of a 7400 yard course right now.

7400 yds with a lot of downhill tee shots. Although the 17th, a par 3 can require a 3 wood with the right wind.

My undergrad stomping grounds:

Colbert Hills, Manhattan, KS

Black/Blue Tees (The Bruiser Tees) - 7525 yds.

Slope - 152

Rating - 77.5

- The name of the tees says it all. Panoramic vies of the surrounding prairie. Lot of fun. Number 70 or so on GD list of 100 toughest courses.

Stow Acres, North Course

Black Tees - 7035

Slope - 131

Good course and fairly challenging (the price is right too!). A fairly long course for the Boston area. Yet, The International is just down the road from this course and is the longest in the country. I've never played there though. I would love to try it out, though. Anyone want to extend the invitation??

Sevillano links in Corning, Ca. From the tips it plays just over 7800 yards and when the wind picks up it can feel more like 9000. The closing hole is a par 5 that is 686 yards long. O ya did i mention that John Daly was the course designer

Have played a few 7200's, so nothing big.

Played Castle Pines Golf Club a month ago form the Internatonal tees- 7628

Antler creek in Colorado Springs- Black Tees 8058

But both are at Colorado elevations so they were a breeze, yea right!

Kampen Course @ Purdue - 7465 yds

nuthing long so far. 7200 max. mind u im a short hitter lol. BUT i get to play isleworth in about 2 weeks! thats about 7600 from the "TIGER TEES" if i recall correctly. my goal will be to break 90!! hahah

I played Panther Creek in Jacksonville, Florida before it opened. Over 7500 yards from the tips with a course rating of 77. It was a BRUTE...

I don't really keep track of how long a course I'm playing because I have yet to find a course dauntingly long. We'll see when I play Bethpage Black later this summer.

But one thing you need to keep in mind is the condition of the course and the difference between it's written yardage and playing yardage. I've played courses upwards

of 7,500 yards that were so firm and well-maintained that they played very short. At the same time, my local muni is only 6900 or so and plays so much longer becasue

the fairways are so slow and soft.

I have played courses longer in actuall yardage than THE DUNES in Myrtle Beach but this course is a monster. From the tips I think it is only like 7390 but every hole except one dog leg is just straight away,,,, rip it and go have between 190 to 220 left to a par 4. The course is just pure torturer every hole. Great golf course and I broke 80 the second time I played it by shooting 78 but I played my tail off. Alot of courses measure longer but have alot of doglegs where you can cut corners and save yardage,,, ,none of that going on here.

Disagree- there arent any mountain ranges in Alabama either and both courses are longer than Purgatory

About 7200. Par 70. Not a big deal but the problem was that it was unbelievably wet.

The International in Bolton MA. Played from the Tiger tees in the mid 90's and shot 78. Though I played quite well.

it is 8325 yards from the tips.

Course rating of 80.0 and slope of 154.

It was a really cool experience.

Martis Camp in Truckee California.  7751 yards and a 76.9 rating and a 146 slope

When i read the topic, I was like "Oh I got this!". Then VV T F - PURGATORY GOLF CLUB, haha I think I would legitamtely cry after that round. But the longest one I played was Mystic Rock @ Nemacolin Woodlands from 7516.

The olympic course at gold mountain in bremerton washington the tips are like 7450 but we played the tees from the pub links in 06 shot 78

He said... "non Mountain courses". Antler Creek is in Peyton CO...elevation 6800 ft. Sevillano qualifies, I know it's in Nor Cal, but more in a plain area as pposed to the mountains.

Besides, There's at least one course on the RTJ Trail in Alabama that's longer than Purgatory... believe it's the Judge from their Capitol Hill links facility, 7794 yds if I remember right.

Last I played the Dunes it was 7100. Sure you're not thinking of the Grande Dunes?

i can't match that yardage, but the course i play at has 54 holes and all 3 are over 7200 from the tips. i'm only 13 so i've only played from those tees a couple of times.

Torrey South is my home course so i dunno the yardage from the tips but....

My lowest score from the tips? 81.... Hey im 13

RTJ Ross Bridge. Just under 8200. You had better bring your big boy game to play the tips.
