Bushnell Tour V4 Shift (Slope) Golf Laser Rangefinder

Hello.

Bare with me as i am not an avid golfer. I golf once in a while when i can with my boyfriend. My boyfriend was a Golf Course Superintendent at one point in his life for many years. He loves golf!! He, for a few years only had the chance to golf whenever he could and now is wanting to pursue it more. I want to buy him a new Rangefinder. I read a lot about the Bushnell Tour V4 Shift (Slope) Golf Laser Rangefinder. Any thoughts on this? Is this range finder super good for what it's worth? Thank You.

Ive used a v3 for years and it has worked just fine. Im sure the v4 will work well also.

I'll never buy a Bushnell again. I bought 2 top of the line Bushnell Range Finders and they both conked out of me within 4 years. I've never dropped it and never used it on rainy days and always put it in its case when not using it. I now use a Caddytek for a fraction of the cost and works just as well and is still working since I bought it 3 years ago.

I have one and I think it’s one of the better ones on the market. It was offered at ‘$349 which is $50 off a few weeks ago. Not sure if that sale is still on.

The Bushnell Z6 is as good as it gets.

I read good things about the Precision Pro Golf NX7 Pro - thoughts?

The PP NX7 is a great unit and take a look at the new Golf Buddy Aim L10, both have Slope and are a superior product IMO at less money and better Customer service. If you read all the threads Bushnell products seem to have the most problems and you are paying a premium for their Name, the Laser technology is a level playing field now so no need to overpay. Good luck and both products i mentioned will not disappoint.

As an alternative I have the Nikon Coolshot 40 Rangefinder I have found it excellent

A Bushnell is fine. I have a V4 and it works great. I think you tend to see negative views on them because they sell so many (most popular brand) you will get the good with the bad. I've had three models over the last 12 years or so and they all worked fine.
