I've seen a few of us wanting to see the whole line of Tour Prototype Milled putters from Nickent...here we go kids.

I just received my first one last week and I have to say, they are fantastic!!

They are milled from 8620 carbon steel and feature Nickent's exclusive Alternate Groove Technology (AGT). The AGT inserts are milled from anodized 7075 aluminum to create better surface area contact with the ball to minimize skid and promote a ore consistent roll on every putt.

Each putter has a 345 gram finished head weight.

good looking putters but looks but nothing look special about it too.

For me to buy those putters, I think the price have to be very attractive to ditch

They actually look pretty sweet and in my opinion that's a fantastic choice of head styles.

One thing that does annoy me though is the "Tour Prototype" on the sole (is this Nickent or Adams? :rolleyes: ) Other than that, I'll give one a try.

Very nice looking but with so many companies with similar designs to choose from, I don't see a market for them.

I will give the MP04 a go down the road when the price drops to $49-69...othewise, it is tought to beat my DCT Grace right now.

I have the MP/05 and its a fantastic putter, feels great!

Where are you guys getting these? The Nickent Shop online shows that they are on backorder....where did you order and how long until it got to you?

Nice looking putter line-up, but am I the only one who is bummed by the fact that the entire line up is copies of other makers' putters?

I have watched Scotty get lit up for copying various designs, but there is no mention of this fact, here?

Sort of a double-standard, ain't it?

Remember, this is coming from a guy who tries his best to remain neutral in all of the putter debates. I have seen this intro line-up on other sites and am blown away by people's failure to mention the whole copy issue.

Sorry, the putters look pretty sweet, but at least have ONE original in the line-up!

OK...but unless you do something crazy looking like the Spider or the new Nickent Dream Pipe...they all look the same. There are only so many ways you can change a traditional design.

Looks the same as every other milled putter on the market. I like them though. I like all putters. Will I buy one? Only time will tell.

I agree, to a point, but that is a sort of a lame excuse for a company who has some great vision and talent in their design team.

For the record, I like Nickent products and have no issue with the company, at all. This is just a comment that I thought would have shown up, earlier and didn't.

Look at the way their hybrida has evolved. That took some serious design work. I think that maybe this is their way to get into the putter market, then they'll do some more refining and bring their own putters to the people. At least that is what I am hoping for.

The PIPE never caught on, but it was original. Maybe their next one will hit...........or the one after that.

Nickent, bring your best, it will be welcomed by many.

Good points, but the Pipe was actually quite a revolutionary putter with amazing feel and was always under-rated...they have continued to improve on that line by improcing the insert of the Pipe II, so this lineup was more of attempt to garner the appeal of the people who need the classic look. most golfers will not pick up a putter like the Pipe becuase of the lookm no matter how well it putts the ball.

There is nothing special about the look, honestly just a boring and clean look. However, they were the big putter hit at the 08 PGA show in Orlando due to the feel. They are still getting amazing reviews about the feel of the milled insert, so maybe they might not look different, but they are getting great feedback. For $249 I would never touch a Nickent putter or any other putter...when the drop below $100 in about 6-12 months will will give it a go.

Carbon steel on urethane is as close as you can get to putting with a balata ball nowadays.

Let's see; clean and simple...nice. However; if they price themselves at the market it will be a big mistake. Sell them in the $149.00 range and people will come; anymore and people will buy another more established brand.

I think those are not all that good looking.....they will have a tough time selling a ton of those.

Don't be too bummed....that is the first thing I thought of as well. Just helps me a understand a little more why some bash a certain putter maker.

Don't get me wrong, my favorite putters are ping 'copies' but it would be nice to see a smaller company (or a new putter line) try something a little different. I would imagine that they can get a very similar feel/performance even if they moved the angles around a little bit. And I understand that they are 'only doing what the consumer is looking for'....but you already have a crapload of well known OTR putters that look like this so the only way to differentiate yourself is to actually do something different.

Just my opinion and they do look nice but I would imagine that they won't do very well in this already flooded market.

If it doesn't sell for 300 dollars, it doesn't get criticized. Not very creative.....at all. Look nice though.

I think its smart of Nickent to try and get in on that market. If you like a certain style of putter and these feel better than what your playing now, why would you not switch? I like the MP/03 and if it feels better than my Whitehot #2 than I might switch, if the price is right!

I just received word that they will be available/released to purchase tomorrow for everyone.

Looks like the price is now $179 for these putters.

I am getting one of these hopefully by the end of the week...swapping it out at no cost with my cracked SuperMag. So any feedback from anyone using these yet? It will be a back-up for my Grace DCT, but I will give it a shot for a week or two and see how it rolls the ball.
