I couldnt imagine using some of this stuff.

It's so disappinting to see all the Ben Hogan irons in there. They were such high quality clubs and, sadly, i don't think we'll see them made to that quality ever again.

I also can't believe that was 2001, it seriously doesn't seem that long ago. Technology these days. Crazy.

Wow. So many players with the old DCI 990's - glad I kept mine. Is it me, or is Brad Faxon a teensy bit overloaded on the wedge front? 7 to be exact.

Presumably mostly Masters shots as, from what I remember, a lot of the WITBs were pretty similar at Lyham that year.

I love looking to see what the pro's are playing and enjoy looking at the past bags even more, combination of memories and a bit of reminiscing I guess.

Why did I give my 990s away to my brother? At least I still have my i3 3-Wood (which was the replacement for the Trimetal that I broke), and 588 wedges sitting in the garage. But seeing Paulson's bag makes me remember how bad I always wanted a Mizuno Pro Driver (I played the forged blue headed T-Zoid complete with Proforce shaft for 6 years). Thanks for the pics.

Great thread, and interesting to see how many Hogan sets were in play such a relatively short time ago. Really like those Hogan X Prototype irons as well......

I reckon Langer's still got that raw-headed Apex 4 iron in play now...

Is it just me or can someone else chime in, the back in the day stuff was very good and efficient, not a lot of emphasis on shiny and new looking. Seems like nowaday equipment look much cleaner and no lead tape..I was one of those guys with beat up equipment, but it serve it's purpose.

Loads of lead tape and cool sounding drivers!

Also I saw a bunch of wedges with that trailing edge center cut grind (like what Scratch calls there TNC grind) I don't see that grind as often anymore.

I love the old tacky looking stuff, which of course, won so many tournaments... Caveat, be aware of the guy at the course with the old beat up equipment.

and people say that the 909D3 isn't forgiving enough....back then it would have been like cheating.

Is that all lead tape or is some of it duct tape to mask the logos of non-sponsored clubs?

I wonder how many are still bagging the Eye 2 wedges? I have several and except for 1, they all are in great shape, they just don't wear out.

Tiger bagging the 681T's, lots of 990 's and 970's. Plenty of 975F's as well.

I love the fact that my clubs are just as grungey looking as the tour pros clubs. I guess it's from the fact that both of us practice every single day. Everyone on here takes such pride in shiny new clubs, but as you can see, they can't buy you a win.
