Thoughts on the Tag Heuer Tiger Woods watch

I was considering a new watch and came across the Tag Heuer TW watch. Anybody own one of these? Any good? What are your thoughts. Is it worth it?

Seems pretty lightweight and a nice casual watch.

I own one in white, had it for some time now.

I've replaced the battery two times ... no other problems.

I wear mine for golf and as my non-dressy watch.

The band is super soft and the watch still attracts a surprising number of compliments.

I have one in black, I got it 3 years ago. Its a great watch, I've had to replace the battery but other than that its great. I wear it everyday for a casual watch.

I have the black face, havent had to replace the battery yet...however my dog chewed my band and I replaced it. $160+ labor from TAG. I was able to get one for $130 installed.

I usually wear it as an everyday watch. Very Light. One of my Favorites!

I thought that was just the "golf" watch from Tag. The one Tiger endorses is the "Link" watch I think. I've always wanted one of the ones you have pictured here but couldn't pull the trigger on it. I tried it on and it is very comfortable.

What's the price diff between that vs the Monaco?

I have one in the pic and love it. It is very light and hardly notice it is there.

Ths watch came out as a tiger woods limited edition with the TW logo, then was released in the orm pictured by the OP.

Should be a fair chunk lower, probably about $1K, the Monaco is an automatic.

Here are the 3 I have. The first one is the Calibre S that is current ads. Second is 2007 limited edition and 3 third is 2007 limited edition.

Cant beat a Tag anyway you go.....I just recently purchased a Link and love it

Got one about a month ago. I really like the watch. Very comfortable, don't even feel it on. Haven't played golf with yet, got it after the season. Probably wouldn't have bought it if the Tiger story broke before I bought it.

Imo, the original Rolex made (Tudor brand) was much more stylish and a better overall watch. You can get them for approx 1.5 - 2k depending on condition...basically a Daytona with a diff movement and a date window.

I've had one for about 6 months and really like it, the only issue is I've already had to replace the battery but it was probably in the store for a while before I got it.

Great watch. Super lightweight and comfortable. Definitely gets a lot of looks. The only Tag I own, but no problems.

Tiger wears the Calibre S? I got one for XMass never knew he wore the same model. Also how do the dial size of the calibre S compare to the 2007 limited link

I was fortunate to be given one of these for my 21st birthday. 3 years later it's still going. The face is still spotless however the brushed metal finish has the odd scratch. If you want a watch that doesnt feel like you are wearing one it's great. The strap has started to wear on the underside. It's still fine to wear but does not have the textured feel to it that it had when new. I'm not willing to pay over $100 for a replacement pice of rubber.

I have never seen him wear the Calibre S. His last ads with Tag were all shown with this watch.

The calendar on the S is very sick. Just set it right and never worry again about resetting date.

The face on the S is a litter bigger, but it may be the appearance.

IMO, it just looks kind of cheap to me. Not a fan of TAG's.

I own (or have owned) Patek, Jaegar, Panerai, Ernst Benz, Mont Blanc, Oris, Breitling, Tag, and others. (I like watches & golf.) I still have my first Tag that was purchased for me as a gift from my dad when I was 18 and have replaced the battery twice and the crystal once (beer drinking accident) in almost 20 years. That sucker is still going strong! Out of all the watches I own and have owned the Tags, Breitlings and Nixons are the most quality pieces. They are stylish, tough and the best quality. If I weren't saving up for another set of stix (710 cb's or Mizzy m-68's) I'd go buy another Tag or maybe a Bell & Ross right now!

Panerai will be my next for sure.
