I liked that ball a lot. Nice flight in the wind, plenty long and great feel.

This is another example of a ball getting hyped up after it was discontinued and put on sale. This ball wasn't anything special compared to other 3-piece urethane balls but was popular because it was a cheap alternative to the ProV1 at a time when there wasn't as much competition.

fyi, this ball evolved into the original 3-piece B330-S which should be easier to find.

Thanks. I didn't know what Bridgestone model compared to the U-tri tour. Thanks again.

In my limited play with the Bridgestone 330S, I have not found it near as durable as the old Precept U-Tri.

Long. Soft. Spun great on the greens. $23 a dozen. Darn-tootin' I miss it. I still have one sitting in the den - my career low round.

I still have about 8 or 9 dozen u tri tours, Don't play them anymore... the z-stars are better for me and longer imo.

Interested in selling them? how much?
[/quote]

Yeah I could part with a few doz, I think I have 2 or 3 doz that I know I can get to right now, ( I just moved from NC to CA, all my crap is in storage)
But I'm pretty sure I know where the box that has them is. I'll check on it and get back to you tomorrow ok?

For me, the Precept U-Tri Tour ball is the best I have ever played. They performed great for me off the driver and with the irons. For a while I could find them on used ball sites, but haven't been able to find them lately. Anyone else think highly of this long lost friend?

I just found a box of them-UNUSED-in my golf room last weekend. What are they worth to you?

I have to agree about the lack of durability - when I first tried the B330S, I was shocked to see how much my wedges actually shredded the cover (I don't have crazy club head speed). And yes, my two career low rounds of level par were achieved playing the U-Tri Tour.

I still see them at WalMart on occasion, but I've moved on.

That was a great ball. the Maxfli Revolution multilayer was another.

Disagree with the "hype" comment and would stack the U-Tri Tour up against any other premium ball during that time frame- including the ProV1.

I could only find about 6 sleeves right now, I tried digging through that nightmare of a storage and couldn't find any more, just too much stuff piled on top of too much other stuff :(

Kaba, let me know when you have uncovered all the balls you have, and we can make a deal....

I'm totally with you! That was one of the best fitting balls for me I ever played. The other one I miss a lot is the original EV Extra Spin. That performed very much like the U-Tri Tour.

I have been playing the Top Flite Gamer V2 lately and finding very similar performance to the U-Tri Tour. Pro V1x plays similarly too for me, but $$$... try the Gamer V2 if you haven't. You might find that an acceptable substitute...

They were a decent ball in their day (maybe 10 years ago?). I had played the Titleist Professional and then when that went out of production I switched to the Prov1 (there was no ProV1x until maybe two years later). When the Precept U-Tri-Tour came out I switched to it because it basically had all the properties of the ProV1 for much less money. As I recall it had a fairly low flight and would spin like crazy. It was also one of the earliest balls that were seamless if I remember corectly. I'm presently playing the Penta as that ball seems to do everything for me and the price (while still on sale) is fantastic.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
