I disagree with some saying it played like the b330s, because it surely doesn't. They still are a great ball, I believe the RXS may be similar but def not the same.

Speaking of the U-Tri's....I felt the same thing about the U-Tri Extra Distance. It performed as well as any ball at that time, very well priced, and was probably the most consistant ball I've ever hit.

I was in a golf store, waiting while a guy was talking to the salesman about the longest ball (they were blocking my path to the U-TRI's)...and the salesman was recommending the Callaway CB-1. when the salesman left I told him "He's right. That is the longest ball I've ever played at anywhere near that price". Then I grabbed the U-TRI's....and he said "You just told me the CB-1 was the best...but you took the U-TRI". Had to remind him I told him "it was the longest, and I kept CB-1's in my bag for long drive holes, but the U-TRI was the best for me. Hitting a 7 iron 190 yd was cool unless you were trying to hit it 175". Just seemed like the U-TRI Extra Distance always flew the same on good hits, and even though it was distance it handled and felt great around the greens.

That being said, although they were too expensive for me to play new regularly back then, I'll second the Maxfli Revolution comments. With that and the original A-10, I think Maxfli had the best balls going for some time.

I enjoyed reading the responses, and finding about the b330, though I really dislike it when others are dismissive of your preferences, as if they don't matter, or as if someone else's OPINION is the be all, end all.

I am in the camp of the Precept u-tri, both the tour and distance models, being the best all round ball i ever played. When they were clearing them out a few years ago, I went and bought about 20 dozen, and have been using them religiously during the summer. I love the mid-trajectory flight, bite, and general all-round characteristics. And I have never used another good ball that was so durable. I've played a couple of rounds with one ball, and it was still almost perfect. No other ball has ever done that. Even rocks. To have a ball that durable, with feel, and good manners around the greens .... Priceless. Ok, $12/dozen in the final closeout .... For a three piece urethane. I felt like I was sinning as I rushed to every store in the area to buy out their stock. But I did, anyway, LOL ...

If I could pick one ball to play with the rest of my life, personally, the U-tri would be it. Unfortunately, my stock is running low, and I'll need to find a replacement next summer.

Heavy sigh.
