1st Round with Chrome Hex

To put my impressions in perspective, I'm a 10 handicap, with a swing speed of about 90 mph. I've been playing last years Penta the last 6 months. Right off the bat, the ball is durable. Played all 18 with the same ball and not scuff on it. I found it to be about 5 yrds longer off the tee and very straight. That could have been me though having a good driving day. Two holes I deliberately try to cut it and it responded exactly the way I wanted it to. Hybrids (4 & 3) shots into the green when struck properly hit and check up within 5-6 feet. Irons through 8 just stuck like glue. Full 9 irons ( which for me is about 145 yrds) and full wedges either stuck or back up between 2-6 feet depending on where it hit on the green.

The one area I was most impressed with was around the greens. I had a couple p-wedge bump and runs and the ball checked up more than I thought it would. I was really pleased with the way the ball checked and rolled out. Partial wedge shots from the fairway had more juice than I thought the ball was going to give me. The feel putting with the ball seems a tad less soft as compared with the Penta. By no means unpleasant.

I am generally excited by the ball. I felt like I was using a "tour" ball better suited for my swing speed. I've used the Bridgestone in the past and like this better. It's in that new price point that is very interesting. !0 bucks less than Penta/Pro-v/Bridgstone and 5-6 buck more than the HX Diablo Tour (which is my go to budget ball.)

Anyone else have the same experience?

Yup, the Hex Chrome is a great all around ball, especially for the price.
I cant' wait for the Yellows to show up in stores or online.
It's one of the best balls to been released in past 5 years or so.

I just played a few holes with it today, for the first time.
Had my best (and straightest) drive of the day with it. Felt great off the driver, irons and putter...not as soft as I thought it might feel (certainly not mushy). Looking forward to more play with it. Need more time with it before I can pass judgement

The Hex Chrome is one of the best balls I've played...I started out with the i(z) hated it because it didn't have much spin, the i(s) wasn't as long as a Pro-V1...

I tried out the Hex Black, and it's pretty good too, although for me it didn't spin as much as the Chrome. The Chrome is just as long as the Black (if not longer) with a lot more check around the green. With the price point, I'm very impressed. My new ball of choice.
