I have heard tons of good things about these irons but have never tried them out in person. I found a new set 3-p just under $400. Im really tempted to get them. So Golfwrx, should I buy them? What other players irons should I look at around these price range new or used?

That's an awesome price for those clubs, especially with the 3 iron. You wont find a better set for that price.

Padraig Harrington plays the V2 version of this club 5-PW.

I play the FG 62's and love em.

I think the v2's are fantastic. I haven't hit the originals, but I would be they are also very very good.

Ive been in the same boat, looking for a good forged players club. I have a buddy who is a +2 that plays these and he loves them. At that price you almost cant go wrong.

I have hit those a couple of times and thought they were awesome. Soft feel and very solid, felt better than the TM MC's in my opinion. You will not be disappointed!

I was thinkin about dropin my 4 iron and picking up the 5-7 FG Tours for a combo set. Then, getting a hybrid to replace the 4 iron.

I noticed today that Padraig dropped the 4 iron and plays the hybrid instead.

I'm looking to buy a set of these as well. But, I walked in the golf shop today..... They had a set of MP32's mint for pretty cheap. I'm trying to decide if I should get the FG Tours/FG Tour V2 or the MP32's. Not to thread jack, but anybody have opinions on those three?

Solid irons. Really liking mine. Paul Lawrie still games them. Seems like a solid deal !

Very solid irons, totally blew me away at a demo day recently. Never thought to look at Wilson's recently but decided to swing by their booth due to a very friendly rep they had there. Was a glad I did, although, as much as I liked these, I liked the V2's that much more, just produced better results/better ball flight for me with the same shaft. Launched a little higher, same distance and seemed a touch more forgiving or they just fit my swing better.

Under $400 new is a great price. I've not hit those irons but I love the way they look at address -- unmistakably Wilson Staff. I'd put them in my bag without a second thought.

i just switched from mp-32s to v2s. i wanted a bit more forgiveness and the long irons are way easier to hit. with stock kbs tour shafts, u cant go wrong with the v2s. but make sure u get fit

The last time I was fitted we determined that the DGS300 was the best shaft for me. I hit em long with a high launch.

I got pretty lucky and found the FG62's on Ebay brand new for $500 with the S300's.

Wow Im very impressed with these irons. I have only two rounds in with them but I plan on having these in the bag for a while. Thanks for all the advice Golf WRX.

Nice pick and I kinda figured you would be happy with those. Haven't heard or read a bad thing about them on any website.

Any more thoughts on these from new(er) users? I picked a set up just because the price was way to hard to pass up.

I liked them a lot, as I did the V2. I don't think you could go wrong with either but the original version definitely feel heavier and definitely give a lower ball flight.

I was very close to getting a set a few years back, was between these and Mizuno MP-53s. Performance wise I really couldn't tell any difference, and feel wise it was really hard to split them. I was going to get the Wilson's but then got a really good deal on the Mizzies so went that way. They are a great club, and IMO one of the best in that category.

Just the feedback if am looking for. Thanks guys. I just got them to tool around with this winter. Kind of an experiment. I got 3-PW with DG high launch shafts for $95. Going to see if I can get all carry in the soft winter conditions. I doubt they are going to knock my Mizuno 63/69s out. But maybe I will be surprised.

Played them for 2 seasons and thought they were a fantastic iron. Shouldn't be disappointed.
