not hitting sweet spot of my putter

can anyone reccomened any tips or drills or maybe something to stick on the face when i practice to help me hit my putts more solidly?

I put a couple of big fat rubberbands on either side of the sweet spot on my Yes! Sophia. You definitely will know when you miss it.

Do you know where the sweet spot the the putter is? It may not be in the center of the club.

Two band-aids work just fine, space them 1/2 inch from the center towards the heel, and 1/2 inch from the center towards the toe. You instantly know when you aren't hitting the sweet spot. :drinks:

Funny that you ask that, I have been conversing with my friends trying to figure out why putters are longer (heel to toe) than the cup is wide. We have been trying to find a putter that is only the width of about 2 balls. I think this would be ideal. I also think on short putts when you can see both the ball and cup, having the beginning point (putter), be smaller than the cup would be visually satisfying. The only anser style putter we could think of was made by john byron a few years ago. if anyone knows of something like this let me know.

sometimes I like using the toe of my putter on downhill putts, plus imagine the mis-hits with a small clubface on a putter!

Try using the putting ark, or a Sindelar board otherwise known as a 2 by 4.

Rubber bands are the least expensive version of the Pelz clips. I did the rubber band/clips thing and just practice a 100 putts at 3 ft, 6ft, then the clock at 3ft, 6ft. Drives you crazy but does wonders for your stroke.

try to find the sweet spot of your putter first by holding the club by the shaft and tapping the face with a tee or something. when you find the spot where the face doesn't rotate but goes strait back you know you found the sweet spot
